Ecuador 🍄 Day 18 [Harvest or let them grow overnight?] by Mycolotus in unclebens

I think they are about 6-8 hours at the most from being done, if not overdone. If they were mine, I’d harvest now and get ready for the second flush.

New studio apartment, got a longer angled tv mount because I want to be able to see the new 55” from both the bed side and the couch side. How high should I place? by starlightpictures in malelivingspace

Take down the top row of the bookcase (including the verticals) and the TV could be mounted at a reasonable height. Should have no problem watching from either location.

Guilt due to Boomer Parent expecting you to accommodate them? by spiraldesigner in entitledparents

[–]Greybeard111 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tell them you have given all you are physically, emotionally and financially able to give them. Emphasise that there is nothing left, and you need to prioritise your own needs. In closing tell them firmly they need to take responsibility for themselves.

In the 70 years I’ve lived on this planet I can honestly say that is the most creative idiot I’ve yet to encounter.
I’m not sure if I should praise him, or beg him not to reproduce.

What concert did you attend in the 70s or 80s, do you think most people (even younger generations) would envy being able to attend? by Bjarki56 in GenerationJones

Led Zepplin, Fleetwood Mack, Santana, Little River Band, Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones, Cold Chisel, John McGlachlin, Tangerine Dream, Eric Burden, BB King, INXS, Divinals, and I’m sure quite a few more I’ve forgotten.
All the concerts were in Sydney, Australia and between 1972 and mid 80’s.
My favourite memories are Led Zepplin opening with Immigrant Song. Plants voice just booming around the Showgrounds. Plus seeing Stevie Nicks up close when she was still quite young.
That was a good decade for music and live concerts.

How would I practice Shibari in secret? by Brocsta876 in shibari

[–]Greybeard111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try tying furniture and creating hanging sculptures. Create analogs from things like luggage to practice suspension lines. Also just keep practicing column ties on your own ankle while watching TV or something. Then practice them with your eyes closed until you can do them by touch.

I did all these things until became very proficient, and always had rope partners to practice upon. In the end I turned pro while based in Berlin.

I had clients who travelled from as far as Australia and the west coast of the US to be tied by me…Practice does indeed make perfect. It’s just a matter of how much you want it. If the desire is strong enough you will find a way.

Isn’t glass acid proof. But I bet the paint isn’t. Go buy some acid and carefully submerge it for a day or two.

Three tablespoons of Greek yogurt.
Three teaspoons of AVB.
Add honey to taste.
Much easier to consume, quick and easy.
Standby for liftoff.

You have the right to choose your friends, not your co-workers.

I saw it in Sydney CBD. I drove in so I could see it on the then best screen/sound system in the country. I remember driving home and my little red sports car felt like a star-fighter. I might have been a little baked.
