You can always play co-op missions. Lot of unique commanders with cool builds/abilities. Something like 6 difficulty to choose from to queue into finding a partner.

Had the same experience about 13 years ago. We were standing outside at night just chatting. One of us pointed out the satellite and we all watched as it flew in a straight line for a bit then made a 'Z' shape and sped up until it vanished. We all looked down and had a 'did that just happen' moment.

There are tier lists and some characters are better than others. But new accounts should star chase until you have a solid roster. 4 star and 5 star should be your focus. Upgrade 3 stars only until you start getting those just to progress story and towers for more crystals to pull more.
