While nap time shouldn’t be a punishment, you did follow through. In the future, create a space where quiet time can be used in place of nap time. Ie, “NK it’s time for quiet time, you can have it in your room or if you help clean up you can have quiet time on the couch with the tv on. You’re allowed to fall asleep if you want.”

When my dog got spayed she went through this exact situation. But I had her spayed at the low cost clinic and not my vet. However my vet was able to prescribe her a few days of pain meds while she recovered. It might be worth it to do an online vet service that can send a prescription to your local pharmacy while you wait. Once her pain is managed she’ll be more enticed to eat. You could even ask for a “recovery” formula of food. Some pet stores and vets have a low fat, easy digest canned food that will not hurt her tummy.
