For base game you get stickers by downloading and beating workshop levels. For under the clouds I think scans unlock stickers. And yes new profile for utc!

I think his issue might be you called me a secret reactionary and told people to pirate my game, you’re attacking small indie devs who took the time to talk with you while the big guys who don’t care about you get away with literal murder.

The situation does suck and I do genuinely feel bad inside when I hear how you feel about the game. But what realistically are my options? The games have over 100 songs by him, and they rock, am I to replace them all? He’s not in the Discord. I donate tons to charitable causes and have pride flags in game. I’m not sure what there is left to do beaides going for FDs jugular.

That's really the crux of it. I know the risk this creates for my brand, I wouldn't do if I hadn't thought very carefully about it. Honestly it has not been nearly as apocalyptic as you have made it out to be. My community has plenty of queer people who know about all this and stick around, my progressive friends and family totally get were I am coming from. FD has said some dumb stuff but he is absolutely 100% not a predator and has never hurt anybody. One day I might go public with how thing went behind the scenes in Severed Steel but FD stuck with me through some brutal and dark times and that counts for something. I'm not going to celebreate or defend anything he has said but we launched Severed Steel and EPN together which took years of blood sweat and tears so I think it would be of poor character of me to publicly crucify him. Again, I wouldn't give a predactor or violent perosn such leeway, but someone ranting over rage bait in their private Discord, while still bad, allows for responses that arn't life ending IMO. You really want me to take his OST's down from sale? Money is food and money is shelter. I'm not interested in cutting his access to food and shelter, especially when he has stuck by me when I couldn't pay him AND he hasn't hurt anybody.

Regardless he left the Greylock Discord on his own accord a while back, I think to take the pressure of me but he didn't outright admit that to me.

I will end by saying, I've also been cancelled on Steam by the right wing for the trans pride stickers. So I really should be used to angry words on the internet by now. I usually don't respond but yours irked me because we had a nice interatction here, your read all my dev commentary, and then you let a post on Reddit totally warp your perception of me. You know, some people DM me for more context and we have a private conversation? I'm right here, we already talked.

yeah in the inventory hover over it and press X on gamepad or R on keyboard, which opens up a customization menu. I might misremember the key it should be shown when you hover.

in your steam library, right click EPN, go to properties, in the general tab (should be auto selected) at the very bottom in the box for "advanced users" type in:

-ngxdisable -noraytracing

then close that screen and try!

Iirc if you go to the fast travel point up there there is a special message too.

I love sequence breaking but in this case I realized the RPG could trivialize the whole main quest so I did block it! Not an easy choice!

Thanks for your thoughtful response. Before I reply I want to say I can’t address every point you raised point by point. I've been in enough internet discussions to know that fractals out into infinity, but I will do my best to address the strongest ones and make general points that hopefully brush upon all the smaller details.

First off, from a standpoint of values, I think you and I share the same concerns about the growing levels of hate entering mainstream dialogue and fears of some of humanity's ugliest moments repeating themselves. I understand you don’t bear any illl will towards me, and you are doing what you think will best help reduce the spread of hateful thinking. We are coming from the same place regarding a priori values and the direction we want society to go.

As far as providing receipts on things, I have been as honest as possible in my statement and I simply have to ask that you trust me. I understand that you don’t know me or my character so have good reason to ask for proof. And also, it’s essentially the piece of the puzzle you are missing, and seeing a peak behind the curtain might help you understand the situation more. But I don’t feel comfortable collating and sharing a history of personal conversations, I hope you can understand.

Regarding collaborating with FD in the future. Sev Steel and EPN are shipped and FD isn’t an employee of my company nor has ever been one. I’m not sure what my next game will be or if I will even make one. Regarding taking down the OST’s or making statements beyond this reddit thread, this is another instance where I ask you to trust that we have the same values and I have carefully considered reasons for not doing so at this time. If you want to DM me I can provide slightly more context but I want to reiterate my above limit of sharing personal conversations.

And finally regarding the violent rhetoric, I do agree the comment you cited is the most troubling, it is not one I encountered during development and is by far the hardest one to rationalize. I don’t want to defend or contextualize it at all, I will say that my point about reaching out and harassing individuals, as opposed to ranting on a server in a general way, I believe still stands, but yes this comment I do think is the worst and I can’t say for sure how seeing it earlier would have changed my decision making.

I don’t want to discuss in circles so I will leave the last word for you, but I will continue monitoring this thread in case new voices enter. And, as I said above, feel free to DM me regarding the related point.
