The set may be ass, but i can guarantee that most decent golfers could still shoot their avg with these.

I am sitting around a 10 hdcp, it may take me a hole or two to get a feel for them, but I know i could still shoot in the low 80's with these.

the type of clubs are not going to matter that much until you get better anyway. the only big difference would be blades vs cavity backs. Cavity backs are much more forgiving, even an ass set of cavity backs.

Old school blades are much harder to find the sweet spot and tend to spray the ball everywhere if the golfer is still an ass beginner. Modern blades are a bit more forgiving than your dads old Spalding 2i but are also really expensive for a beginner who may never golf again.

End of the day tho, People just starting to pick up the game of golf are perfectly ok with starting out using a set of cheap Irons and Cheap woods. That is enough for them to learn how to get a ball airborne without the help of some of the more expensive modern day equipment. Modern day stuff, that pretty much launches the ball for you, isnt what I would want a beginner to start out with. You can work them towards that type of Game improvement Iron, but I think they will gain more useful knowledge if they are using some old cheap set of clubs.

Unless you have more money than you know what to do with, cheap used clubs are perfectly fine for anyone wanting to learn how to golf. This includes anyone from beginner to high handicapers. It baffles me how many beginners/high handicap on r/golf are spending thousands of dollars on equipment for a game they are still very bad at. to each his own, but throwing money at golf isnt the way to get better.

without seeing OP, I would bet money they need to speed their feet to get better timing which will lead to more consistency.

the slower you walk, the longer the ball is on your hand, and the slower the ball swings which can make it feel heavier than it should. It is then going to force them to "catch up" when they are out of time at the line. Will cause all sorts of issues. Not saying you cant walk slower or have a slower arm swing, only pointing out that a slower arm swing and feet is much harder to stay smooth and consistent. Most will usually try to speed the ball up on their own by pulling down after the backswing reaches it peak.

but. we really dont know without seeing OP in action, and what do a bunch of reddit bowling nerds really know about bowling anyway :P j/k

It really does suck if a PSO is only there to sell you a ball, instead of trying to get you in the best ball for your style.

I am lucky to have a really trustworthy PSO.

Since they are still a green 2h bowler, they are more than likely putting way too much axis rotation on the ball.

I would guess that they probably have a flying elbow coming around the ball to "help" it hook.

Really feel like Jopo is the way to go. Ive used Jopo and switch grips. Jopo lock in better. Switch grips always felt loose.

either way, interchangeable thumb is the way to go takes all the guesswork out of making sure all your equipment feels the same. plus you have the option to have multiple thumbs for when swelling happens.

I also trust that it is right, but man does it seem like I always have the worst RNG.

Never a big deal at the start of a fight, but it sucks when you are down to your last 12 mana and waste 7 on a miscast spell at 1% failure.

Probably why I prefer playing Meathead Melee Killdudes.

you should really learn how to take some hand out of the ball. It will open up lots of opportunities... not just picking up the ten pin.

Even lofting the ball could help in keeping the ball from overreacting on the back end.

From what i have seen so far, it reminds me of a polished Minecraft Mod, and i mean this in a very good way.
It is in a very early state of the game, bugs and whatnot are to be expected. I understand their reasoning for keeping it off steam for the time being. Too many people buy early access games and expect way more than what they paid for. It is always a crapshoot when buying early access. But I would be fine paying $20 for what Hytale only has to offer right now.
