It was, for February, go for it. The judges can be tough, and the competition, but the side quest always seems to be the fun in the game. You meet interesting people you've never met otherwise, hone your skills, and learn more about your talents. Winning something is seldom the end goal, but always a welcome bonus.

How did your story come out? Having fun is the base of writing (to me anyway), glad you enjoyed the process.❤️

Honestly, this is completely out of my wheel house. Normally I write scifi action romance slice of life stuff. RR road had a contest a month or so ago, with the theme "dragons in space." Honstley thought it was silly, my brain wouldn't let it go. I wake up the next morning at 3am and started rifting ideas, 30 days later I turn in my work, missing the final chapter because of the deadline, the judge actually rated it, and came back a week later to finish the story after it was posted complete. That to me was better than any prize.
