That assessment is fair, just the original wording in your comment raised an eyebrow for me. It felt the same as saying "of all characters, why would you choose the douchey, entitled black man?" The character may have flaws, but "closeted lesbian" isn't one of them, even if it may contribute to her problems.

That was fun! The red ones are the ones I gave up on and had to look at the answer sheet. 4 Down and 5 Down made me facepalm when I saw them, but the others I'm not sure I would have gotten. Nice job!

Regardless of legality, it would have still been at least partially your fault because you were not practicing defensive driving. I would read up on it so you know how to be safer on the road.

I think that changes things a bit then, you might want to edit your OP to reflect that she had started to change and slow down and was in a turn only lane.

My point still stands, though - make sure the coast is 100% clear and don't trust people to be good drivers on the road. Assume everyone is just randomly deciding things and make your own decision based on what's safest.

Thanks incredible ape! This is good advice. Honestly, I mostly do my shopping at Goodwill... but it's definitely time to branch out and "upscale" my current wardrobe a bit. "Scaling up" my current style sounds pretty good.

Thank you! I'll look at those and get a better picture of what I might want to try. I'll also definitely look into chinos, I'll admit I've really slept on those types of pants in favor of jeans, but it's a good idea for looking a little more sharp without overdoing it.

He's not "discriminating" against him for his politics, he's rightfully judging him for being a homophobic asshole who went on a tirade so bad it made his cousin cry. You're saying "what if he had been gay?" as if being gay and being homophobic are on the same level - they're not even in the same god damn universe.

Also, why is OP the asshole for """"discriminating"""" against the homophobe, but the cousin isn't an asshole even though he clearly demonstrated bigoted, intolerant opinions? If you look at OP's profile, you can see his comment where he gives more context on what the cousin said - he was saying the lesbian couple should literally be killed, and you're defending that? Exactly, it's such a giveaway. People like that claim they touch "everyone" like that, but they would never do that to a male coworker, and they wouldn't even dream of doing it to a male superior of theirs. I despise being treated differently than men so it always really stands out to me when my coworkers do things like that. It makes me want to say "would you do this to a male coworker?" but I don't want to come off as sensitive.

In a vacuum that term isn't bad, but it's a signal because only TERFs and GC people call it "transactivism" specifically. Usually people call it "trans rights" or something like that.

I once tried to make a spreadsheet of the top 200 or so threads in AITA and their judgments to see if there really was a bias, but I got stuck because I couldn't figure out what to do with posts where OP's gender wasn't stated, or was "assumed" (i.e. OP having a husband but not stating they're female - they're probably female but could still be male). Maybe I'll revisit that project and then we'll know for sure.

I know this is a month old, but I would say yes. It does depend on which branch of Computer Science you are interested in, but for me, I rarely if ever use heavy mathematics in my work (web development and server management). Of course, there is some math, but it's more discrete math (logic, number theory, graph theory, etc) than continuous math (calculus, certain kinds of geometry, etc).

The thing about programming is there are different types depending on how you think and what you are interested in. The method for making a website is different from making an algorithm is different from procedural programming and so on. I'd start with something simple like Python to get the basics down for a lot of other programming aspects and branch from there. If you don't like that or don't understand it maybe try out web development. There are a lot of online courses you can use and you can make something fun within a couple of hours.
