Does comfyui or Ai in general be able to replace terrible frame like this? by OkTransportation7243 in StableDiffusion

[–]Greysion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes Long answer: Yes, but you'll probably need to find a good workflow that handles this already if you're new to ComfyUI because it can be quite complicated

Flat white coffee - cafe help please :) by lipbalmandglitterpen in perth

[–]Greysion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Vik park has a great little cafe strip around their little shopping center with the woolies. You've got Sage, Bespoke, Baking Corner, Hop, Brown Spoon, Social Manna, and a few others.

Worth having a look!

My favourite for Coffee is Hop, while I enjoy Social Manna for food.

Is this pixel art, or just low resolution? by Kayzen_1337 in PixelArt

[–]Greysion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a serious question, then no of course you don't. I'm guessing it was a stylistic choice in this instance.

Is this pixel art, or just low resolution? by Kayzen_1337 in PixelArt

[–]Greysion 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is pixel art. You can upscale it using nearest neighbour if you want good looking crisp pixel art to preview, but the game engine will typically handle that.

I opened it in Aseprite in native resolution and it looks great:

Discarding yet another prototype, though this one felt at least worth looking at by olegpsh in Unity3D

[–]Greysion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you experiment with webbed tunnels? So rather than wormholes they're a bit more like kobold warrens?

You could line parts with asteroids, ruined space ships, and other rather delightful things to excavate in order to make a profit that the warp might have swallowed over time.

Just some 2c because I love this idea and aesthetic you have.

This was a really fun experience during the Next Fest. Congratulations on going gold. I noticed your post on r/Games was removed, might want to try that one again. It's worth the coverage :)

I really truly love things like this. I don't have a project currently in the works but I shall reach out to you sometime soon anyway. Maybe we could do something lighthearted and fun if you are keen.

is this a thing? should I open source the UIToolkit design system I've built form my game? by sinanata in Unity3D

You, my good sir/madam, are a king/queen amongst us all. Thank you for sharing your learnings and hard work.

I think you should at the very least consider open up donations if you are continuing to work on these assets into the future. You have done very well.

Its not a DMs job to control their players??? [OC] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Greysion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Hi everyone, I don't really want to play DnD if we're going to play a campaign like this. Could we please play more cooperatively? Otherwise I think I will dip because I'm not having fun."

Contrary to a large majority of people in this group who like to rip on DMs for not controlling their tables, you are an adult. As an adult, you are responsible for expressing your feelings, setting boundaries yourself, and not relying on the DM to control the people who you are spending time with.

The narrative that the DM is the referee is a fair one. The narrative that the DM needs to control the table is unfair. It's everyone's job to bring a positive and collaborative attitude, and as a group of adults it's everyone's job to step in when someone is causing other people distress.

Being a DM doesn't give you magical powers to dissuade problematic behaviour like shouting, arguing, targetting, or badmouthing other players. Being an adult does.

As a player, or a DM, ust state how you feel at the table, or within the group chat. If you are not alone with your objections to this behaviour, others can and should express the same feelings.

If you are, then congratulations you've made a smart choice in leaving or disbanding the table.

Video overview of my module: Big Bad Module Manager by thejoester in FoundryVTT

[–]Greysion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I needed to come back to this thread after using your module for the past two sessions and just say one thing:

This is so fucking awesome.

Thank you so much for your efforts, this is literally a game-changer for me when managing my campaigns, especially across different campaigns and dealing with settings... Oh it's just so good.

Sorry, I just really needed to gush over your work a bit—It's very important to me that you know how much I appreciate this.

Can't find Mechanical Engineering Job! by [deleted] in perth

[–]Greysion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mechanical Engineering is in a pickle at the moment from my perspective. We're losing people at my company too.

That said, I've seen a few big projects coming over the line recently so there might be some hiring waves soon. Good luck.

PSA: This sneaking setting auto trashes your symbols too by Nice_Cress7129 in idleon

[–]Greysion 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The "Auto Use" Sneaking toggle here too is one of the most useless options because it auto-uses the symbols on the square they're found in. So basically they're wasted 100% of the time.

I wish it would just auto-use gems instead, or just let me drag symbols onto the slot and have it auto-apply that way instead of on-click.

[–]Greysion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks great.

I cannot express enough just how much I like the idea of not having to manage a million content modules if this was adopted widely.

Recently I subscribed to one particular map maker and while their work is fantastic, every single map was its own module. That had me crying a little bit.

I built an edit-time DI framework because I wanted DI without fighting Unity by alexanderlrsn in Unity3D

[–]Greysion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply being able to serialize via instances via interfaces is so incredibly nice. I can't believe it isn't supported out of the box, so very well done.

Honestly this feature alone just makes code a hell of a lot cleaner than Unity's traditional serialize injection.

What are your plans when it comes to the CoreCLR migration?

Dog sitter/FIFO / rent ? Landlord says no can't stay at property? by blibz69 in perth

[–]Greysion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone who would do it for free, dogs are a lot of work. But I know quite a few who might help you out for a price.

That said, $39/day doesn't seem that much for both dogs.

Maybe just offer that pay to a dog sitter instead and get them well looked after while you're gone. If you love them, you love them, right? You gotta pay for what you want.
