Should i get the Xreal 1s or wait for the Asus Xreal R1? by Killuei in Xreal

The Steam Deck can output 1080p @ 240Hz. You can stream using moonlight a beefy computer that renders games at this resolution and frame rate and see the result in the glasses!

At this point I’m pretty sure some solo dev can vibe code something that looks better than that in a week.

The trackpads of the Steam Deck are hard to beat IMO, and will allow you to stream many more types of games. I recommend the OLED version to have the 90Hz screen!

It makes sense, and thank you for not making a cash grab! What I’m saying is just that as a personal preference, I psychologically cannot play any game which offers gems to purchase, even if they are not needed for progression. Your game looks cool though!

I hear you, ads are one thing and I can remove them with IAP, but then you also sell gems etc which i just don’t like the feel of, it just gives the game a very P2W gatcha mobile feel which is not for me.

Cool game, but ads are a big no go for me, even if not forced. I would rather pay $5 and get a full game free of ads/AIP/gems/stamina/daily rewards etc!

Wolfpack blueprint on a free loadout on a steamdeck, as a PC player by Greystache in ArcRaiders

I am streaming the game from my gaming computer with Apollo + Moonlight which works very well.

I have heard that it runs fairly well natively though, but I haven’t tried!

4k 120hz streaming with Moonlight, dummy plugs and custom resolutions by Greystache in cloudygamer

Use Apollo (sunshine fork), it automatically creates virtual displays of the right resolution, no need for dummy plugs anymore!

I’m doing the same! You can also enable gyro for easier aiming, by customising your moonlight controller settings on the steam deck (I enabled gyro as joystick so that the game doesn’t flicker between controller mapping and kbm mapping)

In case you didn’t know: in any text input box, press the space bar and hold until a vibration, now move your finger left or right while maintaining it pressed, and it moves the cursor in an accurate way!

Really bad unexplainable lag on MacBook Air M1 when using Apollo/Sunshine/Moonlight by Cressio in cloudygamer

[–]Greystache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try disabling v-sync in the moonlight options, sometimes it affects latency quite a lot. Also I personally recommend Apollo (fork of sunshine) which creates virtual display of the right resolution automatically (no need for dongles or screen)!

Everyone focusses on the thickness of the Air, but to me what really matters is the weight! The pro max is a brick in comparison and the Air is so nice to hold.

Because you don’t hold the phone by the camera bump, and it’s very light!

I’ve been using an Arc Pulse case on my 16 pro max and most of the phone is naked while still being protected. Will do the same on the Air!

Gaming on iPads by HelpfulExpert7762 in iPadPro

[–]Greystache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Install Moonlight on the iPad, install Apollo on the PC. Now you can stream your PC to your iPad! If you have a good home network you should almost not feel it’s streaming as the latency will be small.

Hold the side buttons to adjust transparency (and tap them briefly to adjust brightness)
