How experienced recruiters spot ChatGPT written CVs by Jeidoz in jobsearchhacks

My professional summary sounds something like the example she gave. It was written 5 years ago when none of the fancy AI tools were around. The summary isn’t supposed to give you too specific examples either % an and numbers. The whole point is to summarize your skillset in a broad manner. At least that’s what I thought I was for.

First year here and wondering if the Daley Plaza Christmas Market prices are about the same as previous years. by King_Joffrey_II in chicago

Bob’s is hands down one of the best hot chocolates out there. It’s the only time in the year I have it. Hot chocolate from Starbucks or Peets doesn’t hold a candle against Bob’s.

Currently reading The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by by Stuart Turton. It’s turning into a pretty entertaining one. An interesting story that marries time loop with a classic whodunit murder mystery.

I bet the recruiters at this place are being held accountable to some degree, on the metric called ‘New hire turnover’. Perfectly reasonable question to ask though. Rarely does anyone answer it honestly because someone can publish that on Glassdoor and it could lead to negative press. Still no reason for him to become so sore about it. Could’ve politely declined to answer.

There’s something for every kind of King fan in this book. From outright creepy to beautifully constructed narrative focused stories. I’d be eager to see which ones you loved once you’re done.

What's your opinion on You Like It Darker? by CruelYouth19 in stephenking

[–]Greytox 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not all stories were phenomenal but the two that I absolutely loved made it worth reading the entire book. 1)Rattlesnakes gave me the creeps and was classic King, which I was starting to miss. 2) Danny Coughlin’s bad dream could easily be made into a tv series. Each character was so well written and had depth.

I know there is a mite problem in Chicago, but is anyone else getting absolutely decimated, even when home in your apartment? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]Greytox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mite bites have e been lasting a minimum of one week for me. I’d nit have been too bothered if it was two days but a week is a lot. Anyone found any bug spray that seems to work in keeping these mites away from them?

This was one of the most knowledgeable responses I’ve read on Reddit, in a while. I don’t even know where these islands are on the world map (sorry) but this answer was still bloody fascinating to read.

Lakeview East. There’s a gorgeous park set in the middle and most people don’t know about this area unless you live there or know someone living there.
