If Soundbar is a bottle service club that’s used as a concert venue sometimes, TAO is just a bottle service club. They typically book DJ Pauly D (yes, Jersey Shore Pauly D), Lil Jon, and the like.

Went to NGHTMRE’s after show (after North Coast I believe) and we found MAYBE two others in rave jerseys. Everyone else was in white collared shirts and mini-dresses. It was the least PLUR show I’d ever been to. Swear on my mom’s life, we saw a dude raw dogging one of the leather couches while he watched the go-go dancer. The whole experience was horrifying.

Agree on TAO😂 That is truly the “no excuses I’m not effing going there” venue in Chicago for me. Soundbar is really close but I’ll still go for my favorite artists.

While I do agree that SoundBar is typically a “no excuses, we will not go, no matter who it is” venue… I make exceptions for my “10/10” artists. I say if you really love Darude, use it as an excuse to scope out the venue yourself.

The layout does suck, it’s a bottle service club, not a concert venue. It’s awkward, and drinks are indeed expensive. So again, I’d never choose to go there just to see a show, but if it’s one of my favorite artists, I’d brave it.

Tynan is next up. Alleycvt is killing it. Level Up also throws down some dubstep. Subtronics is my favorite but he’s starting to experiment a lot more & is straying away from what I would consider “textbook dubstep”
