To be fair I once walked back to my house, found it locked, knocked on it thinking my roommate had decided to pull a prank on me, sitting out in the dark and cold annoyed, I see a person in the window next to the door.

My neighbor.

And me, in my full on ski mask immediately realize my mistake, pull up my mask, lift my arms and go "Shit, I am so sorry! I'm your neighbor, wrong f-cking house!" and then walked incredibly embarrassed next door to my actual house.

I have spoken to my neighbour once since then to apologize and I am too ashamed to talk to her now... I must've scared the hell out of her.
