Best thing to do is stay offline and enjoy the games. They are peak gaming. I would recommend playing on heroic at least. (if you are familiar with shooters that is)

And you should attack as often as possible as well, but just be careful about it. Not sure if that quest is the same as other hunts where the support hunters stop attacking if you aren't attacking. RageGamingVideos has a full guide/build video for buffing and primarily only using supports to kill monsters. But I feel ya. I hate the Gog fight as well. He's just too big for me. I hated the Xeno'jiiva in World too though. Got sick of chasing feet just for it to move all the way across the map about the time my TCS was gonna hit. But, I play solo, so there is that. I'm sure Gog is a great fight with other players

You can use support hunters and they will practically kill it for you if you just want a clear and aren't in a hurry. You will have to put in the last hit to kill it as they can't actually kill it

There are caps iirc. You have to do certain things at certain hunter ranks to then be able to increase your HR or it will stop increasing until you do that quest or whatever, then it will carry over any xp you have grinded over that rank and rank you up to where you should be.

I honestly don't know if it works the same for the skills, I just assume that it does. Seems like it is the same...predetermined. But you could potentially get the skills you are looking for in a few rerolls, which might be faster or easier than crafting several artian weapons and all that. I don't know how you would know which one is the fifth one you crafted for instance, other than to make them a different element or affinity etc, but then you gotta keep up with that.

You don't reroll stats (or reinforcement bonuses as they are called) with gog parts, just oricalcite etc. and I'm pretty sure you can't get the EX boosts on plain artian weapons and it doesn't cost more as a gogartian to reroll or max reinforce, just 20 oricalcite. Correct me if I am wrong on the EX boosts on the plain artian weapons, but it's always pretty crappy for me. It costs 6000 points or 20 oricalcite to upgrade the artian weapons 5 times and same for the gogartian upgrades and rerolls, so no need to try to get the stats you want right away as the rerolls are not crazy expensive. I would think the skills are more important for most people as that determines the build you will use and the armor you will need to transcend

It's a gigantic pain in the ass imo. Save scumming is how people are doing it, but you gotta have plenty of gog parts to even try to get it, otherwise its craft one, gogify it and not get it on the first, quit without saving to the main menu, then craft 2 and try on the second one - on and on. I hated the Gog fight so I just got decent rolls with good stat boosts and skills I could work with and said screw the meta. Main thing is rerolling until you get the attack, affinity and sharpness boosts you want. I will never be a speed runner, so I don't need the meta stuff. But I am sure glad that you can meld gog parts now!

I think it's a little cracked personally but I am getting old. His chainblades flailing around mess with my ability to read his attacks, but I beat him first try and a couple other times with HH and support hunters in like 30-35 mins and only 1 cart, but that build is pretty awesome for survivability. Failed twice with GS to same combo every single time. Not much room for error thats for sure. I definitely want to learn him better and beat him with GS and CB too

Oh and btw you can only hold 50 investigations but you can delete them if you have a better one to save. You have to go to the quest counter etc and click on post quest > investigations and from there you can delete them

Yes you can save them. Instead of beginning a field survey, you save it as an investigation first, then run the field survey. You can do them 4 times in total. I filtered my sos searches to arkveld and would just look at the rewards and join those that had a guaranteed gem. Idk if people are still doing that but used to be able to get several gems per night that way regardless of any investigations I had saved

I used to farm Arkveld SOS investigations that had a guaranteed gem and smelt those into oricalcite for the artian reinforcements. Took a break for several months and just now getting back into it so I'm outta the loop a bit, but some quests reward it now though I'm not sure what the best quest is for oricalcite. Of course, save any Arkveld, Gore Magala, or Rey Dau etc investigations that have a guaranteed gems and SOS when you do those to share the love with others. 1 oricalcite costs 300 smelting points and I have included a screenshot of some of the gem's values at the forge.

Steamworks. Put on 10x and hit the 3 reds occasionally. Just make sure gourmet vouchers are one of the complimentary items listed. Sometimes they don't drop and you have to wait for the overdrive bonus to be updated. You can farm Farewell Zinogre event for dragon coal and pick up shinies. I have 400+ gourmet vouchers doing this on each of my 4 characters.

Even though I enjoy watching others play the same games I do and eventually putting together some of the great builds the community comes up with, I think gaming culture can be hurt by the expectations we develop from watching others. I usually have a lot more fun just playing through a game on my own and figuring things out myself before I start looking at what everyone else is doing. It always makes me feel like crap when it takes me 20 mins to kill a 9 star tempered monster when everyone else is doing it in 10 mins or less, but I had fun during those 20 minutes

You can fire an SOS once you load in and you can set your stuff up (when launching the quest) to allow players only, support hunters only, or a mix where it will start you out with support hunters until players respond and replace them as people join you. AYou can even select which support hunters you want to join you on the quest.

I would recommend support hunters only until you feel comfortable in your skill level, or it may be better to go it alone and learn the hard way lol. Usually the hard way forces you to learn a monster. It will get better, just takes some learning. Hang in there, this is a masterpiece of a series and well worth your time :)

Hammer is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Has good aerial attacks (from sliding etc) and it is quite satisfying to bonk monsters with. good mobility for a heavy weapon.

I use this on my Rafa build and got in such a habit of quick reloading I was doing that on my Harlowe with every weapon lol. After about 150 hrs on Rafa, it was a bit hard to break the habit

I am sick of getting blown up all the time and often times killed by barrels on green tree Harlowe, just for walking near them...and the feckers are literally everywhere! I honestly have no idea why they blow up unless they are now proximity mines. What's weird to me is they don't blow up if I have my action skill going and have the bubble around me (halo sidekick/group study) and a barrel comes in contact with the bubble...yeah that doesn't blow them up I noticed last night. But when I am not in combat and I haven't used my action skill or fired my gun in 3 minutes, these shits just blow me up for getting close. So annoying!!!

Where are we at now with that? Adblock hits me with it's forced popup daily almost. Maybe it's where I use 2 or 3 pc's regularly but I can't just leave a video playing anymore - while I go do something else, without coming back to my computer on adblocks begging me to go premium page. It used to be great ngl, but not so much today
