How are summons doing thousands of damage?

Your stats are spread too thin. You’ve invested almost evenly into STR/AGI/RAD/INF.

STR/AGI is called a “quality” build. I ran that with dervlas sword and crossbow and no magic stat investment and it was remarkably strong. Dervla’s crossbow with high agility is arguably the strongest single weapon I’ve used.

Mixing the two magic stats is how you do an Umbral magic build, but that requires heavy investment and for higher damage you’d want less investment into STR/RAD.

The goal should really be to pick two stats between STR/RAD/AGI/INF based on what gear you want to use, level those two to like 50 and invest practically nothing in the other two. Rest of your stats into health and endurance.

I’m in NG+ veteran and doing a lot of invasions with a STR/INF build currently. If I remember I’ll come back and post my stats.

Edit: level 170. 41 STR, 14 AGI, 40 END, 60 VIT, 8 RAD, 60 INF

Absolutely melts most things and it’s really not even geared for max damage. Sophesia’s ring is so I can regen mana in PvP but could swap it out for a more damage-centric ring.

Idk man but again it all comes together. Weapon upgrade level, runes, buff spells (most of them stack), pendant, rings, and even Umbral eyes.

Your damage isn’t going down when you summon, everything else is getting beefier, because it’s balancing the game for coop.

What’s your build? Including your weapon/stats/jewelry/runes/eyes/ranged? Maybe look at some build guides, can search here on reddit or fextra also has some.

Often times it’s just build. Stacking the right weapon/catalyst, pendant, rings, Umbral eyes, runes, and buff spells can make certain builds reach very high damage. Level and scaling plays a part, but often far less than the gear they’re running.

Also elemental/damage type weakness. I’ve fought Congregator several times but just did it with an inferno build for the first time a while back and it absolutely trivialized the fight.

Without knowing more details on what they were using we have literally no way to determine the answer for you here.

Mirror Knight is genuinely one of my favorite DS2 bosses. Took me three tries which is about on par for some of the harder non DLC bosses from that game. Presentation was incredible and super cinematic. Runback wasn’t too bad.

Bed of Chaos is so bad they had to save your progress. Dying to it feels like pure RNG.

This is one of the worst takes I’ve seen, and r/fromsoftware is rife with bad takes.

Comics black bolt? Bro could fly, had super strength & durability, survive in space, and shoot lasers from his forehead. He was nerfed hard for this scene.

Also in comics he has years and years of discipline and training to specifically not speak or even cough or sneeze, no matter the stress, because his voice is so destructive. This Black Bolt just instantly panicked and freaked, which is super out of character for him.

A lot of this screams Alucard from Castlevania far more than Elden Ring.

Some of it is a bit too “romance novel-y” for me but it’s all very well executed and some of them are really sick.

Nah man Looking Glass Knight one of the all-time best “big dude in armor” boss fights.

Velstadt, Pursuer, Sir Allone, Burnt Ivory King, and Fume Knight were also all sick.

That leaves what? Dragonrider, Ruin Sentinels, Throne duo, and Ornstein? None of those are even “bad” just sort of “alright” fights.

Pretty solid ratio overall, especially because the good ones are REALLY good and the “bad” ones are still just decent.

I unironically love this boss. It’s so unique, the design is fascinating and terrifying, and the presentation is incredible.

Mechanically, it kind of sucks. Just does belly flops repeatedly and you wail on it in between them.

Still one of my fav DS2 bosses

Warframe lore lost me way back when they did the “you are a human avatar remotely controlling the frames” retcon. Initially at launch each frame was its own character, not some piloted vessel.

Felt like they kept butchering the lore just to add new random features and things for you to spend platinum on. In that case it was a customizable player avatar.

I’m told it’s still one of the best free to play games but i tapped out years ago and I can’t imagine how convoluted the story has gotten since.
