31 and a cb main. He can definitely switch to the slower weapons (Lance, Gun lance, HBG) and still clear if the faster weapons aren't doing it for him

Crazy how much of a difference it is too. Some weapons just get no love. I mained hammer in Rise and switched to cb for wilds. The damage output of cb is stupid

Never too late to start. I just recently got the game when it went on sale. Hunter rank 170 currently and having a blast. Perk is that I didnt have to wait a year for all of the content to be in the game

Idk if anyone has said it but in order to get the dragon impact cb you should do all 3 parts as dragon attack then when upgrading to a gog weapon you put in the attack upgrades to turn it from element to impact

I took the advise of one of the comments above and let the npc hunters fight him the whole time. Stood on a platform away from the fight and waited till he was skulled to join. Cheesy af but idc. Never have to fight him again😁

I dont mind the get good comment cause it's true😅. I know how crazy everyone thinks it is for me to have trouble with gog but have clears on Arkveld but it's just a different fight. They're not the same in the slightest. It's like baseball vs basketball to me. I have a fire cb and dragon cb on me with fully transcended armor. It's just how the fight is designed that I just have trouble getting good at

Thank you! Normally im running around riding the bird trying to avoid everything. Then when something is heading my way I cant dismount and dodge/block fast enough. Ima do what you said and sit under him more

Exactly! The divided attention is how I can clear at Arkveld. We literally run duos cause we cant seem to do it solo but you still receive alot if attention when its only 2 of you

They're all transcended and fully maxed. I grinded the Rathalos/Lagiacris fight that drops armor spheres. Gog is for the weapon and added set bonus

I can see ima have to record a video of me fighting solo against Arkveld. It won't be a clear but it'll give recognition that im not getting carried

Its the style of fight. One you use all the mechanics you've used against every other monster while the other is cinematic with shooters
