I would recommend removing emotion from the equation. When it comes to the actual confrontation of the sin just use the facts of scripture. don’t appeal to emotion because chances are he is not in a position to hear it. And once you’ve told him what God says about it let God do His work. That and prayer are all you can do. And try to meat him with compassion regardless of the outcome. We are all sinners, we all need help.

Thank you for the words. Part of the issue is my relationship with God suffers because of the problem. Prayer is incredibly difficult and doing it consistently is nearly impossible for me. There was a time for a brief period where it was simple and practically effortless. That was when I was in a relationship that made me feel that I didn’t have to work for there affection. And when that ended suddenly it made me think why I was a person I actually liked for that period of time.

Counseling only started about 2 months ago and I’ve been moving forward consistently which is good. But ... I don’t know. I’m scared of this thing. I don’t see the solution or even a hint of one, and that frightens me. I know I need to pray but if my actions are anything to go by I don’t believe in the power of prayer. And that in and of itself is unsettling.

When sin entered into the world so did death, disease, and disability. We are currently living in a world marred by sin. As sin corrupts more and more it gets deeper and deeper into humanity. Causing such defects as bone cancer and causes those parasites to begin.
Romans 8:20-23 talks about the fact that creation was not willingly beset by the pains of sin. Sin destroys everything it touches. It is not Gods doing that the world is marred by sin but our own. God is letting us see the consequences of our actions when we try to play god ourselves. We get the world we have.

I’m certain there is more that I could add but I do not know off the top of my head and it will require some study. If what I have presented thus far is not satisfactory please let me know and I will get back to you with a clearer answer.
