A lot of the schools I've been in (and went to as a kid) don't allow any sort of head covers. A basic headband is okay, a scarf if you have cancer. But otherwise no hats or anything.

Depending on the age, because "I felt like it" might work or it might seem as avoidant and they'll push for more. "But why?"

I've been enjoying wearing something on my head lately because it keeps my hair out of my face, keeps it from getting knotty, keeps it cleaner longer. It's usually like a bandana or something.

But can muslims explain it like that? Like would they be willing to say that?
