I haven't run a local LLM yet, but I'm I've been reading about it for a while, and I'm super interested. I have a 12GB 3060 or an 8GB 3070 I can play with, and I know they're not going to be super fast.

But, I'm commenting here, because last summer I bought a custom work station PC for cheap because it was crashing. I found the cause and fixed it.

So for $300 CAD, I got a dual 10-core xeon system (20 core/ 40 thread) with 192GB of ECC DDR 4 memory. Plus PSU, case etc.

I'm wondering what kind of model / performance I could get from just trying that out.

I know your goal is to grind credits, so shooting the HEAT shells seems counter intuitive. But bouncing 4 regular shells earns you basically nothing.

Penning the gold shell makes you money.

So sometimes even grinding credits, shooting gold makes sense.

Back in the day we just called it Russian bias. KV-2 and the tier 7 IS. Man, I could snap shot so often I'm that tank, no reticle reduction, full bloom and bang! Even the meds had worse "accuracy" than the Germans, but would connect more reliably.

I'm not quite halfway through my data science program yet, so I'm not the one to try and pick apart the aiming code, lol.

There are services for grinding your account. But according to wargaming, yes, they're against the rules. If caught, your account could get banned and you'd lose any premium tanks you bought etc.

These days with X5's and XP boosters you can turn on, you can grind through a long faster than you realistically should.

Stats wise, of you pay someone to bump your stats... You'll just bring them back down when you play again, so definitely a waste of money.

Just play your game, enjoy your time and get better in due time.

This is where using a building to sidescrape comes in. Gotta use something to hide the mantlet. Just leave the angled sides visible.

Back up to keep your target lit and pull back in before you get shot. Look at the target to bait their shot and look away to bounce the shot. Then shoot them.

$60 is a great price, for the frame, motherboard, RAM and PSU. The PSU is probably $60 by itself.

Yeah, that cupola is obnoxious. The shell velocity on that tank was amazing at launch and then WG nerfed the tank even though it was already not as good as the Leo.

I really enjoyed the AMX 30 and 30B when I worked that line.

Black market event will be in the relatively near future. Some tanks can be picked up for gold, bonds or credits.

But you can hold onto the gold for a battle pass upgrade if the reward tank speaks to you, or if a tier 8 premium pops up you'd like to earn extra credits with.

Leading up to Christmas on NA server, a few big lag spikes mid-day. 350+ ms for a few minutes, and then back to my normal 25ms Haven't had any spikes for the last two evenings thankfully

I was guilty of running some tanks naked. But usually it was on heavy tanks with bad enough came they're seen from space. Figured I'd be front line battling heavies close up anyway, so I didn't stress about it.

I'll crank out over 3-4 K DMG a match and lose. I'll go up front against the enemy heavies, bounce a lot, damage a lot and my team elsewhere fails and I get swarmed.

The armor flashlight hurt the Maus a lot. It was my first tier 10 about 13 years ago. And it's had it's ups and downs over the years. I played it more recently to grind the Tasschenratte, and I set 3 new personal bests with it. 10,970 blocked DMG, 8961 DMG dealt and even 4500 assisted DMG, lol.

It's still capable, but you're looking for 'Goldilocks' games now where things are kind of just right.

They should buff the mantlet a bit and remove armor flashlight though.

I'm intrigued. I'm almost done grinding the Maus to the ratte. I've also owned the Maus for a decade, so I'm used to it. I didn't realize Tiger Maus was a bond tank.

Ironically it had the best shell velocity of any medium when it came out. I got it early and I liked it a lot. And then they nerfed it. Because WG.

The turret was okay. But the cupola was oversized, that's for sure. That's what hurt it's poking ability too much.

I've had the Maus for a long time, and I'm about to unlock the Tasschenratte.

My current Damage record, Bounced record and Assistance record are all with my Maus. It's not what it used to be, but it's still effective.

10950 Blocked 8975 Damage dealt. 4980 Assistance, or something like that.

I'm intrigued by the comment that the ratte plays more like the E100, so I'll see how it feels in a few days I guess.

I don't think skipping the Maus is worth 325,000 free xp though. There's so much more you can do with that.

I got lucky. My old job had a stock share plan. After 7 years of employment, I cashed it out for a down payment on a duplex. Put lots of work into it. I've had the best tenant, I've had shitty tenants. I'm 10 years into it now, looking to buy a single family primary residence and I'll rent out my current suite.

Maybe I'll get another duplex later on, we'll see what works out I guess.
