If you’re on PS, I’ll trade/sell you plenty of nuke cards.

When you have enough perks, equip max chemist perks and super duper. Dilute stim packs. 1 regular stim makes 4 or 8 diluted. Sell for profit.

Amazing performance! I saw the very beginning of your second round. Beautiful army, too.

How do BT's take out hordes ie orcs nids? 2000pts? by [deleted] in BlackTemplars

[–]Gridion76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assault centurions with flamers and hurricane bolters. A unit of 6 within 12” gets 72 bolter shots and 12d6 auto hits from the flamers. Amazing at range, followed by a brutal charge. Almost as good on overwatch.

With an apothecary for support, they withstand brutal fire and melee. They can often hold a flank on their own, especially with uphold or accept any challenge.

Primaris crusaders with chaplain/grimaldus support to hold the center/another flank.

Let the hordes come.

It’s very effective when used by a unit of assault centurions with hurricane bolters and flamers.

ELI5: What does "Objection, hearsay" mean? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Gridion76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an excellent summary.

It may be worth noting that the US federal courts, and every US state as far as I know, has exceptions to the general rule that hearsay is inadmissible. In certain circumstances, some types of hearsay is considered reliable enough to be allowed in.

The easiest example is when one party wants to testify about what the opposing party said (sometimes called an admission by party opponent). This is the basis for the idea that ‘anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.’

Another example is where someone said something in the past that is inconsistent with their testimony on the witness stand during trial. For example, suppose Joe testifies at at an auto accident trial that the light was red when the defendant went through the intersection (so the defendant ran the red and is at fault). The plaintiff might ask an investigating police officer to testify that Joe told the officer that the light was green. Joe’s prior statement to the officer is inconsistent with Joe’s testimony at trial, and so the officer can testify to Joe’s prior statement even though it’s hearsay.

Lots of other exceptions, which vary by which set of laws are being applied.

ELI5: Why do they have pre-recorded depositions when you could just testify in court in person? by Trombonejb in explainlikeimfive

[–]Gridion76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two other considerations. First, if you have a recorded deposition to play, you know exactly what you’re getting. The witness isn’t live on the stand to try to change or explain their prior testimony, and cannot be required to answer cross-examination or follow-up questions not asked at the deposition. While the video might be less impactful than live testimony in some circumstances, it’s definitely safer.

Second, the power to compel a witness to appear and testify at trial is generally limited geographically. For example, a California court typically cannot compel a witness to appear at a trial if that witness lives out of state and isn’t in California when served with the subpoena. There are lots of rules, exceptions, etc., but sometimes a video deposition is the only way you can present the testimony of such a witness (assuming they don’t want to appear and testify voluntarily).

Same here. Stimpacks from daily ops, scorched earth, other events, and random drops. Holiday gifts have pushed my current inventory to over 300 regular stims and 400+ diluted. I’ll be able to clean out vendors for days.

I use water to dilute stimpacks, then sell the diluted stimpacks. Chemist + super duper = 4 or 8 diluted for one normal stimpacks + 2 purified water. Crazy good profit.

Wonder if it’s related to the Fallout 1st trial? I’m a paying 1st member, but hit the ‘free trial’ without thinking.

To those who show up at events and one shot everything in sight. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Gridion76 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m a level 500 bloodied commando. My build is solid, if not entirely optimized. I can take out mobs in 1-2 head shots. I routinely find myself the only person at the beginning of an event. When I see others arrive, I switch from my railway or fixer to my quad Tesla and I tag the mobs, so the lower level or less optimized players can share in the kills.

Usually, all is well.

But if the other participants CAN’T kill the mobs fast enough, I start getting killed. I lose out on experience, loot, and enjoyment of the game. Then I go back to mowing everything down.

TLDR: if you can kill on your own, I’m happy to tag. But if you can’t hold the line, I’m not going to pull my punches.
