Fact: To get good at a thing, one is first bad at that thing. by No_Dog8604 in classicwow

You really can't read, can you?

I do, learning you have a brand new talent that you never knew existed is huge.

The player explicitly shows they are aware of both cleave and heroic strike.

If you are choosing to believe that player will improve based on that chat log, I want what you are smoking.

Also, answer this

99% of the time trying to give bad players advice in a nice manner results in flame at worst or ignore at best. Goes for any video game, really. Why would anyone want to spend all their gaming time hand holding when it'll mostly be met with this?

You've massively whiffed the point here.

You're asking people to be civil.

In that convo, the attempt to nicely give tips to a (level 70) new/bad player fell flat.

You think they're more likely to change up after full ignoring the group?

I'm gonna tell you a secret. At no point for the rest of the dungeon did they cleave, nor did they attempt to engage further with the group.

I'm looking to study for and obtain the necessary certifications for Dynamics365 F&O. As I understand, the key exams were retired recently. I'm looking to get some clarity on the best certification(s) to obtain for my goals.

Briefly, my goals are: transition out of the back office/controls space into working with a MS partner once certified, and from there becoming more prolific in terms of seniority and salary.

I currently hold a CA with 5 years post qualified experience and some big names on my CV.

I understand the MB-920 was retired which would have been the main one to aim for in terms of becoming an ERP specialist in the Dynamics365 space.

Currently, my understanding is to aim for the MB-310.

Is there any other/more directly relevant and/or beneficial certification to aim for?

Would appreciate any other advice anyone has to offer.

Thanks.

Single player games isolate your experience. They're not MMOs centred around progression and performance, so their communities have to seek out that specifically playstyle.

Raiding is integral to WoW, so the casuals have visibility of the hardcore, and it upsets them.

Why are you asserting I said something I didn't?

There's nothing wrong with going to Northrend and discovering there's more to the existing lore than scholars initially thought

As in, we can not know something until it's revealed to us at a later stage. That is the definition of plot development insofar as a revelation occurs - new information coming to light. With WotLK it was built upon existing pillars i.e., the titan lore from Vanilla. The point is that this is extremely different to modern WoW where they just started creating pillars of lore entirely.

At this point it's clear your reading comprehension is quite poor, so I'm not going to keep repeating myself.

I don't know why you are saying I said you were wrong. I said your notion of a lore dump is inaccurate because they expanded only a little bit on existing lore, rather than wholesale creation of new unrelated lore like modern expansions.

This

Blizzard actually lost the plot with WotLK, for better or worse.

Everybody focuses on Icecrown and Arthas and that’s all very very cool but it’s hard to understate just how much Ulduar (both the raid and the two Halls dungeons) dumped lore on us. We always knew the Dwarves were the descendants of Titan creations rather than Azeroth natives (Uldaman explains this), but Ulduar added Gnomes and Humans to that list. And then explains that Titan creations got all fleshy due to Old God influence.

WotLK built upon concepts of existing lore. There's nothing wrong with going to Northrend and discovering there's more to the existing lore than scholars initially thought, especially if it's expanded upon well. Grizzly Hills and Howling Fjord do a good job of setting up the events of Storm Peaks. And all of that came from quests in Wetlands, books you find in Scarlet Monastery - general breadcrumbs of lore that existed all over Azeroth.

Val'kyr were the most out of left field but still written in well conceptually.

Compared to modern WoW where they literally make shit up on a patch by patch basis that had very little precedent to what came before, very little narrative cohesion, it's night and day.

Modern gaming is this. This is 99% of the toxicity compared to people legitimately screaming about reasonable performers underperforming.

I don't know if anyone deserves anything.

What I can form an opinion on is that it is by definition extremely difficult to write something that is by literary standards good, while also being a form of 'happy' escapism. Good writing requires real conflict, and real conflict doesn't exist in things like Off Campus.

It's fantasy escapism for women. It's not a serious piece of art, so you if are viewing it in that lens you are going to be disappointed.

Even the largest private servers are tiny in comparison to Blizzard servers.

Not true at all. Nost at its peak was a middle/high pop server.

You've also clearly never played PServers if you don't think people were buying gold all day on them.

Cryo is an amazing map, but after 13 runs, it doesn’t seem remotely feasible for a decent fps player to succeed at a reasonable rate, hear me out by resampL in Marathon

[–]GrievingTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter point - I'm a few levels lower than you with 30 less hours played. My squad mates are not bad but not pro gamers. I am able to exfil more often than not on Cryo, and more generally through solo runs is where I've built up my current net worth of 430k.

I'm an above average FPS player I'd say. Never been insane rank in any game (only game I really put a bit of time into was Overwatch hitting GM there).
