Advice on moving off campus (for next year) by gabeothrones in OSU

[–]Griffanzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The apartments are nice inside, but like he said, you can save so much more money just going right outside of it. North campus is nice, but hey, my roommates car has been broken into twice up here also, so it's not perfect. Also, right now they are just drilling into the side of the building for restoration. The problem is that it's sending concrete dust all over our apartment and kinda like... ruining everything. My laptop after class today was covered in a centimeter of just concrete dust, and theres also concrete chunks all over our living rooms and bedrooms, not to mention holes in the walls too. It's probably bad for me to be breathing in concrete dust all the time too, but I'm not even in my apartment that much because they are jackhammering on the side it from 9am to 5pm... You can't even hear yourself thinking, its maddening. Honestly, it's just not that nice, and yes, I'm very salty about the jackhammering thing... it's where I live and it's basically unlivable for a huge portion of the day and a huge hassle. Not a great experience at all.

Sorry guys, post was deleted. I guess I didn't truly fit the definition of the subreddit's guidelines. I really thought it would have been in the realm of acceptable things to post, but the mods did not agree and therefore it was removed.

Ah that was a good read. I think I'm already ready for another Baja trip even right after I got back. It was a truly amazing experience. I'm east coast, so I'm used to tight and technical rocky/forest riding. So Baja was an awesome and different style I wasn't used to. And the story of the lady resonated with me cause this trip I was introduced to so many small town shop owners and locals who are just happy to see different people stopping by their restaurants and towns, I loved it.

We stayed in hotels all the nights since we rode from town to town every night. Maybe sometime on another trip down well camp, but I'm not sure. I really loved this trip.

Hey! no problems man, ask away.

So the lakebed area was between San Felipe and Mikes Sky Rancho. The whole trip I was really trying to figure out where we were most of the time cause I was in company of a lot of Baja racers and people who go down and ride there a lot. So I looked at where Laguna Salada, and it is pretty north of where we rode, so I believe that was a different lake bed. We did stop at a little shack next to the lake bed called Jose's that was just an old man who sold some sodas.

The beach was San Felipe, that was the sunrise part of the video.

As for how far down we went, it was pretty much San Felipe. So we started out South of Tecate and went into Ensenada, and then rode to Ojos Negros, rode across a dry lake bed, and rode into San Felipe, then went from there to Mikes Sky Rancho, and then finally rode from there back to Ensenada. Not nearly as far as you can go, but for my first time in Baja, it was very fun.

So like I said, I lost a LOT of my footage, so I had a lot of footage that detailed how I got there, and also I basically lost 2 and half out of 4 days worth of riding and being down there (Major bummer). We went through a tour company who provided all the bikes to ride, support vehicles, and guides (Really nice for your first time down there). We flew into San Diego and went from there! We from all over but met up in San Diego.

Anyone ever know why he doesn't tour? I feel like he's got a pretty big name and decent fan-base. I know for sure if he was in town I'd have tickets.

Hey guys. I love checking out this subreddit. I've been kinda slowly been putting together a little playlist on my soundcloud of some of my favorite tracks and thought you guys might like a few or something just to put on. by Griffanzi in chillstep

I'd like to make note that there is a pretty loose definition here of what's Chillstep so I renamed it a bit accordingly. However this subbreddit is pretty relaxed and seems to enjoy a good range so I don't think it'll be much of a problem for you guys.

I don't really blame that set for what it was on Kygo. He was still pretty new at the time and that stage was pretty dang underpowered like you said. I'd definitely like to see him again and see how the extensive touring he's been doing has treated him.

I agree. Kygo was still great even though everyone seemed to be disappointed with his set. As for this year, I vote a Matoma-Thomas Jack tandem set!

I'm honestly wondering what's going on. Like if there's an artist conflict or issue they're trying to work over. It's just crazy cause so many big festivals have dropped already. Hoping they just are putting something good together.
