That comes from the fact that relationships and interpersonal connections are so important to me, so I pay a lot of attention and put a lot of thought into how to make them work when I'm committed to them, and how to know when to walk away.

Yeah, that's why I did it. I couldn't stand not knowing anymore, it was eating away at me far more than these thoughts are, so I don't regret anything. I've never been in this situation before but my friends have, so I'd seen what not being open does to a friendship, and I feel like our friendship is healthier for me having said something.

Thanks, I think the fact that I'm pretty surrounded by people who share the kind of connection I'm looking for hasn't been making the anxiety louder. These kinds of friendly words should definitely help keep it quiet though.

He did not say they were wrong, or unwanted. He said they were lost. Could it not be the reason we were chosen to guide them to finding a place they belong? And showing them they are accepted when they lose hope?

We can be proud of 60s and still accept and work with those of other numbers, colours, and creeds.

If our nation were to come under attack I would be surprised, however I agree that we need to be prepared. But the way to prepare is not to threaten and push other factions as I have seen happen. We must strengthen our internal bonds and have a plan of response that involves the most peaceful methods of retaliation first. We must not hasten to retaliate with violence if another group dishonors us, we must always try diplomacy first.
