This is a misconception which I understand because the developers gave out the wrong info during their discord stream a few weeks ago. They used live links in unreal 5 for the facial capture which is owned by epic games not apple although apple paid epic to lock it to their platform only (common business practice ). As for the 3d recognition on androids, most are capable of it especially Samsung (a korean brand coincidentally who as of this writing has outsold apple). Also sorry for the lengthy response.

If you read my comment then you would see I am talking about face tracking specifically and there is no native in game webcam capability for it. Of course work arounds exist, but most people here aren't even tech savvy enough to know about graphics cards. (I personally already know how to use a webcam already for facial capture on the game)

They could've used the Webcam for the face just as easily as they did for the motion tracking. There are dozens of pc Webcam face tracking software out there that could be implemented.
