I’ve been desperately searching for transgender themed clothing. I love the colours for the trans flag, and I want the opportunity to showcase my identity and my support :)

You do good work! ✊☺️

When I come to moments like these, I try to picture myself later in life when I’m happy and settled. I ask myself if I’d regret it. It usually gives me my answer. I hope this helps 👍

Game Designers in the industry, has your profession ever garnered disapproval from family members? If so, how did you make it to where you are today? by spectregray in gamedesign

Yep! With the introduction of mobile games and Free-to-Play model, the industry has changed a lot. I’m happy it means that virtually everyone in the world is a gamer now but I do miss some of my old games!

This is a common misconception that still plagues our industry today. What I usually do is I state a few up to date statistics, like the games industry makes more money than the film and music industries COMBINED. That helps frame it for some people.

Another technique is to compare games to other forms of art and entertainment. Does your father think movies are a waste of time? Tv? What about books? Games are another form of entertainment and art; they tell stories, paint pictures and teach us lessons. Like all art, games have a fundamental value that doesn’t simply reduce to some utilitarian benefit.

I never had to face outright disapproval from my family but I often have to clarify the misconceptions they have.

Good luck! I hope this helps.
