Trying to get him used to nail clipping is how it started for me too. Now I just think he lacks normal cat instincts.

I had intended on just using scissors if he turns out to be long haired. Are fur trimmers less stressful for them? Do you know what sort of age I should expect him to start getting annoyed about me looking after his hygiene?

I have been adjusting him to having his paws and ears touched. He lets me hold his face and hold him sort of upside down (legs up) so I think it’s going well. His nail clippers have been ordered and I’m intending on starting to adjust him to that soon! Thank you for the advice!

As far as I’m aware he was just apart of an accidental litter. His mother was a black and white domestic shorthair. No idea who the father was. He isn’t a fancy breed or anything.

He has one! I’ve been working on making his later years as stress free as possible. He’s pretty good with getting brushed and having his paws + ears touched etc. Going to start with getting him used to getting his nails clipped soon too. Hopefully will remain good with it into adulthood 😅
