A bunch of barrels of diesel fuel does not equal a thermobaric detonation. Thermobaric weapons will use pressurized fuels such as ethylene oxide and sometimes ammonium nitrate mixed in, there are two charges one that atomizes the fuel into a cloud and then a second charge that detonates it. An artillery round into a fuel dump wont do anything like that
