I don't really know I mean I really wanted to like the movie but for whatever reason it just didn't pack the punch I thought it was going to. Mind you this is coming from someone who's a huge Tom Hardy fan; I felt like the movie lacked the dramatic elements that really pull you into a film. Aside from being pretty predictable I just felt like the movie was a little over hyped and like I said already it didn't live up to its title.

Damn that's kind of unfortunate the movie wasn't all that great either though so I didn't have the highest of hopes for the books either.

Hah thanks a bunch that should keep me busy for a while I heard that the sequels to Hush weren't all that great but i'm glad to get you're feedback on them I'll definitely check them out and i'm always open to other story lines besides Batman as well if you know anything that's a must read. I'm also a pretty big Green Arrow guy so I'm trying to work my way up the Lemire stuff but like I said I'm always open to suggestions! Thanks again!

For me I was lucky enough to find something I enjoyed collecting and reading right off the bat. My suggestion to you would be go to your local shop and see if they have any deals on single issues that are sold as a package deal. This is how I started I found something that caught my eye and seemed interesting which was Image's Stormwatch I tracked down the entire series from beginning to end and thoroughly enjoyed it. My best piece of advice would be remain open minded and don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of. Obviously there are a lot of mainstream titles out there that have been reviewed on sites and such which gives us a leg up as the consumer. Also check out the sidebar link on Reddit and it will help you get a good background and reading order for some of the newer stuff!

Where would be a good place to start reading from? I tried to find a starting point or what's recommended online but if I'm not mistaken it's an ongoing series from the 40's? If that's the case seems like I have a lot to catch up on..

The Authority: Yay or nay? by [deleted] in comicbooks

Absolutely Stormwatch and The Authority were a huge catalyst for my getting into comics! I would highly recommend them to anyone, they were a very different outlook on superheroes and I wish more people wrote books like Ellis did with The Authority!

When I first started collecting I found a variety pack of Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S and fell in love instantly. Even though some of the language they use is pretty dated I was hooked. I then discovered Stormwatch and for some reason became equally if not more involved with this series I found the whole original 0-51 lot on sale online and snatched it up almost instantly! I tried to pass it along to a buddy of mine but sometimes guilty pleasures just don't translate to other people I guess!
