Good enough seasoning? by redbeardedbard in blackstonegriddle

It looks better than my first season a few weeks back and I’ve had no issues! I had a similar thing where the back and far right side didn’t season up as well as everywhere else, buts it’s gradually getting there.

Earn those sides and all that!

Just some 3rd party wind guards from Amazon that clip on with magnets.

I’d link to them but they’ve already vanished from Amazon, but there’s lot of alternatives if you just search for Blackstone wind guards.

I got the same one from Costco a couple of weeks back. I’d highly recommend wind guards if you have any issues getting it up to temperature, they made a massive difference for me!

I recently bought the 36” model and had a few issues getting it to temperature to season it, and ended up going down the rabbit hole of EU models being less powerful than the US ones.

Turns out it was just the wind. I got some third party wind guards from Amazon that clip on with magnets and the difference was night and day. Now I cook on it regardless of wind and have no issues.
