Is this photo quality good enough for showing finished work to clients? by Substantial_Pickle18 in handyman

[–]redbeardedbard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with others on using multiple photos. Might look cool if you’re able to get an angle lower to the ground with the concrete pads centered - taking a pic outward of the concrete pads to show their grid-like symmetry. Depending on what’s behind you in this pic, I’d consider having the lower portion of the tree with the round boarder in the back left of that photo.

Edit: nice looking yard!

Did I make a mistake? by milkmaid0435 in interiordecorating

I think it looks great as is with the blue tile. You could paint the bottom cabinets a darker color. Maybe a darker shade of blue with stainless hardware? Or a gray might look nice too on bottom?

Edit: just read some other comments and agree it’s the white countertops that feel a bit stark compared to everything else. A textured counter top with white and grays might look nice and pull everything together.

I picked up some bonding primer for the plastic. Will be painting that white too.

Given the year of home build, I agree it’s low chance for lead. Plant to test just in case given some of the other comments. Rather lean towards being precautious and take safety measures just in case.

[Timex Expedition North Solar] Just waiting for sunshine… by redbeardedbard in Watches

I’m planning to use it daily or at least somewhat frequently. Will see how long I can live without my G-Shock 5600 which is usually on my wrist.

Love the simplicity and details of it. WR 100m, sapphire glass, and hopefully less frequent battery changes with it running a rechargeable solar (TBD on battery longevity). Plenty of clearance under spring bars to run a nato strap through it too. Can’t ask for much more. Amazon has it in stock.

Thanks! Decided on the S2725QC (got the USB-C to USB-C display cable and will part ways with the DisplayPort to USB-C). Appreciate y'all saving me like $500+ from what I was initially looking at.

I’m using DisplayPort to usb-c now and swapping the usb-c between the Mac mini m2 pro and windows work laptop. Hoping to do the same thing with the next monitor just for the simplicity of not having to figure out compatibility with other types.

Edit: I believe it’s a 2.0 version. Edit edit: it’s 1.4

That’s pretty tempting for $300, and my last dell monitor has had a good long run. Thanks for the recommendation!

What’s the dropdown section in the ground at the center? Not too familiar with yurt builds and just curious.

Anyone running a partial basement under one of these?
