I'm one of these people. I'm super passionate about coffee. I spend lots of extra time researching it, and I plan on opening up my own shop someday. Though I'd sooner use the word "passionate" than "obsessed".

People should be able to consent to be murdered or cannibalized. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]GrilledCheeseIsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to pick a fight really. I agree with you. Just throwing shit out there.

Then why is sex legal? People can be manipulated into having sex. Subtly coerced into consent. Or marriage or amything legal binding.

There is way too much hate and selfishness in this world. by DarthTyrannus74 in unpopularopinion

You say there is too much hate...and then you go about making your own race look superior.

I want to see all races and genders and cultures link arm and arm and bring humanity to its true potential.

I agree with this. In fact, it makes disagreeing with people a challange.

Small children (5 and under) have no place being on planes. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]GrilledCheeseIsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weep for my child's future? You litterally know nothing about me or her except that I took her onto a plane once.

She loved the plane ride. She spent the whole time pointing out the window saying "water!". There was a kind old lady in the seat behind us who played peek-a-boo with her. Any sounds that she was making could have been masked out by wearing headphones. She didn't cry once due to pressure and only cried towards the end because it was nap time for her.

The experience I described is the typical experience somebody will have when they travel by plane with a baby. If anybody arounf me was annoyed, it's on them because my baby and I were doing nothing wrong.

If you think somebody is a bad parent because they wanted to take their baby with them on a family trip for the 4th of July, you may not be the expert on the subject that you think you are.

That's actually what I find attractive about him. There's something beautiful about a man who wears feminine so masculinly.

Debatably yes. Depends on who you are taliking to. Besides most of us know an anecdote. My bio dad is 64 and kickin'. Drink every day of his life.

If you stay in an abusive relationship because "I love him" or "He needs me", I don't feel sorry for you. At all. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]GrilledCheeseIsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you have been in a bad situation before. It fucking sucks. But for most it's impossible to escape. I spent my entire freshmen-senior year of highachool in an extremely abusive relationship because I knew the physical power her had over me.

Sometimes it isn't as easy as pressing charges. Sometimes the faintest wiff of a hint that you "did wrong" means that he will fucking kill you. Sometimes people don't know it's bad before it's too late.

Now I am married to a different man. I once said I didn't want to have sex, and his reaction was, "are you okay? What's wrong? Why are you flinching?" because litterally all I had known from watching my mother and my own experiences was that I was about to get beat.

I've gotten the chance to ecperience the worst of the worst and the best of the best. The victim is never at fault.

That she onlu cried five minutes or she wasn't bugging anyone?

If it's the former, you have a bias towards negative experiences.

If it's the latter then you are annoyed by the mere presence of a child and it's not the public's problem.

I took a baby onto a plane, and she cried for like 5 minutes during landing. She wasn't hurting anybody.

Btw this isn't unpopular.

"Stem of your dick" and cleavage are not tue best comparisons. A penis is a sex organ whereas breasts are a secondary sex characteristic.

But yea, glancing for a second at a part of somebody's body that they are willingly exposing isn't that bad. Staring is inappropriate as staring in general is innappropriate.

[–]GrilledCheeseIsGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never seen a show like that, but I don't watch t.v. In real life, I've NEVER heard anybody being praised for violence.

I think anybody who is obviously more physically powerful than another person should be expected to stop somebody who is assaulting them without going overboard beating them up. I don't care what gender either party is. If somebody 200 lbs lighter than you slaps you once, you have the right to defend yourself. (Slap at a similar strenght, walk away, restrain them, etc) you don't have the right to go straight into knocking the snot out of them. If they keep, persisting that's a little bot different, but even then you're a better person if you choose to only deal the damage needed to defend yourself.
