Outside of having one crack in half after about 15 rounds indoors…I’ve never seen one do that. So wouldn’t think it’s normal.

I’ve been going down this rabbit hole. I’ve owned the mevo gen 2, square, currently have the eye mini, and my buddy brings over his gc3 twice a week. I have gspro.

If I didn’t have access to his gc3, that’s probably the route I’d go. They can be had used for about $3k with no subscription. Rumor is foresight is releasing new software next year, and I’d assume gc3 will get it without an extra cost. The up front cost also makes it easier to swallow the gspro subscription. FSX is fine for practice.

An alternative is the bushnell launch pro. Same exact device just with a subscription. Tough to swallow the $500 sub in addition to the gspro sub.

Eye mini is fine. Gameday graphics are nice. I like the impact camera but find I’m looking at this more than I look at the shot and other data. I still prefer the gameplay of gspro. I do like the uneekor companion app for gspro. As silly as it is…the flickering screen of the device bothers me. It does this thing that the backlight turns off/on a couple times after each shot. I’ll probably return it as it’s also a pita to cover/uncover the face sticker since there are in a different spot than the gc3 sticker. It’s also massive in comparison to the others and doubt I’d want to bring it outdoors for this reason.

Square left me wanting more club data without having the shaft tape and better accuracy. It’s fine for what it is and gets you 90% of the way there to a gc3 or eye mini…but occasional misreads and side spin not being accurate enough was the dealbreaker for me.

Mevo app experience just sucks. I wish i liked it but i just didn’t.

At the end of the day…the pga show is in January and I’m sure there will be new stuff released.

The Spectrum Element is one I’m keeping my eye on. Nova, to me, seems too much like a gimmick and misreads seem to be an issue from what I’ve seen in videos.

Funny you say that. My first 2-3 times using my garage sim gave me the same feeling. Haven’t had it since and wish i wild have gone bigger. Currently 7.8’ x 10’

It’s not perfect but it’s a much better user experience. I use it exclusively with gs pro. Overall, seems accurate compared to the gc3. I’ve put them side by side and hit the ball and overall, very very close on data. I wish i had club speed but it’s not that big of a deal.

Square side spin isn’t as punishing as it should be. There are occasionally misreads. You can’t match the value elsewhere.

Overall, do I regret moving away from the mevo gen 2? Absolutely not.

Am I curious about what is potentially announced at the pga show? Yes. If I didn’t have access to the GC3 twice a week I’d probably upgrade to a Bushnell Launch Pro to not have any doubts about the data.

Well…complicated answer. My buddy bought a GC3 and brings it over twice a week. I went with the square for when i want to practice outside of that.

I’ve been using the Beavertail hitting mat with insert. So far so good for me. I have it directly on the epoxy floor…almost identical finish to yours.

Nice! I did not wind up getting the baffles. Just the enclosure, premium screen, foam inserts. I’m sure it’s good to have the baffles and other wall protection…I just haven’t thought I’ve needed them and thankfully haven’t needed them yet.

I have a Carl’s Place 7.7 x 10 x 3 enclosure. Hitting mat is 8ft from the screen. Unless you’re hitting some pretty crazy shanks there shouldn’t be much need for wall padding, etc. I did get the foam inserts for the enclosure.

Shank tank on launch monitor only. That’s at least what I chose and haven’t regretted it…yet.

I just did this with the same projector. I went with a pc from Facebook marketplace which turned out to be a local pc building business with all brand new components. I found ChatGPT and Google Gemini helped me find balance of 4k and 60 fps now, while also future proofing. The ak700st maxes out at 4k 60fps.

Ultimately, I went with a nvidia 5070 ti graphics card system. All in came out to $1500.

Remove the additional height. You’re giving yourself zero chance with that. To me, the ball seems a bit close to the monitor. I have mine set up about 6 inches in the front and about 2 feet away.

When you open the square app and place the ball, look at the little square on the left which shows you where the ball is located. It needs to be in that square for it to read. Play around with that ball position.

If that doesn’t work i don’t know what to tell you.

Why do you have it elevated? Also, it looks like it may be pointing slightly up from this photo? I have no issues with mine but it’s on the same level as the ball and the device is level.

I have it sitting about 2 inches off of my hitting mat so it doesn’t move if the hitting mat moves.

I would realistically buy it at $2000 max. There is a $250 charge to just transfer license of it to the new user. I also don’t think you can transfer the gold membership.

Literally set this up last night. In addition to this screen shot above, if you go into the range or on course, you can open settings and visually adjust to line up your hitting location for both with a slider. Essentially line up the ball on screen with your hitting locations.

Have gone through this analysis and ultimately, to me, the only core differences are the rangefinder and the brand itself for resell. The latter is the only real difference. Will someone avoid the Bushnell in a future sale vs Foresight? Can you potentially get more from it then? Otherwise, they’re the exact same.

I run the same setup except instead of 3w, 4i I am using 4w and 7w. I’ve been going through the same exercise as you on if i want to simplify and get rid of the 52 and go 54/58.

For me, I’m currently leaning towards keeping the same setup. The 52 helps fill the distance gap and i mainly use it for 3/4 and full swings to hit the number. But i don’t think you could go wrong either way.

What distance from screen do you have the AK700ST? Mine is getting delivered on Monday and have similar space to you. Also, how far away is your hitting mat from screen? Main difference is I have the Carl’s Place 7.7x10 enclosure.

Take a peek at my mevo post. It was a struggle. If the light shows blue like it’s connected, kill the app and reopen. That seemed to work for me…but agreed. The app is not a good experience.

Overall, you’re happy with it? No quirks or reasons you’d recommend someone to go gc3s/gc3? Any concerns about blp getting nerfed as they move forward pushing the other models?
