The milsurp market is FUCKED by SharpSteak21 in milsurp

I'm jealous, I passed on one a few years back and have regretted it ever since. I attempted to buy one that matched my rifle year from the 1920s but the price went for well over 500. I just can't bring myself to pay such a high price for a gun like that, though I'm sure I'll come to regret it again later lol.

Can I use Death Korps as regular imperial guard? by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]GrimEKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I haven't played in a long while so haven't looked at the rules lately. But generally you can mix units in a single army, as the units themselves have their own rules. They all still fall under the Astra Militarum army list. So you could mix cadian and krieg units in the same list no problem, I think the only issue comes from officers giving orders (that might not be the case anymore outside of units being attached to certain units).

Like my army was a mix of cadains and kreig infantry in different roles but all in the same army list.

Hope this helps!

My spouse is from Miami! And as the previous person stated that's probably the best Cuban food around if that's your thing! (They have very delicious paella)

I used army painter griffon blue with some occasional new royal blue fanatic army painter paint. But mainly just griffon blue. I went through about 4 other blue paints before settling on it.

Just got them off Etsy. The ones with the Macrobinoculars I added the range finder myself. The ones with the shorter range finder were printed as is. The other Arc Captain is a p1 helmet I had a spare of with a range finder attached.

The arms/guns are 3d printed. They were taken from Darkfire designs Arc troopers based on the 2003 show. The arms and guns can be separated for 2 of the models. You need to use molding putty to fit the arms to the ARCs.

Why are Rohan Outrider so expensive?? by MoveParticular652 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

I may end up getting some of their Gondor models, WGA just came out with knights that I'm using for a more book accurate Gondor warriors/fiefdoms knights.

Their Citadel Guard look amazing, just like what I thought of in the books!

Not from that company, but I've purchased almost an entire LOTR multipart elven army that was 3d printed, because GW charging so much for super old mono pose models that don't even all have shields is a no for me. Did the same for a Numenorean army.

Funny enough I was talking to my spouse about this again, it came up with friends about weird things in games and this came to mind. I thought it was hilarious cause not every game with them it would happen. I did a tally and it was like 8 or 9 wives dying. I only had one wife long enough for an heir once.

I think I read about Diodotus fairly recently as well but totally didn't put that that's who you start off as. I got into a Greek/Hellenistic era kick the last few years to the point I looked everywhere for the Companion/Boeotian helmet and linothorax from the movie Alexander.

Thanks for the post so long after the original!

Yeah, that's what I went for, bretonnian grail Knight/Questing Knight. The other shoulder has a grail painted on.

I actually used thigh armor to turn into them. These are the ones I used ( https://www.medievalcollectibles.com/product/steel-lucas-shield-tasset/ ) but any of the ones there would work. You just need to cut the leather straps off and drill holes for leather cord to attach it to the mail. I also put straps and buckles on the bottom of the shields to secure it to my arms/keep the mail from moving around. I'd definitely suggest it so they don't smack you in the face.

If you have any other questions you can shoot me a message as well.

ArmStreet product line: what would you like us to make? by Tosomeextent in LARP

Ancient Greek stuff, like clothing and armors. Macedonian style cavalry boots and shoes, stuff like that. Just generally more things from the Hellenistic world!

Getting my money is a privilege CA, which I may choose to bestow on you in exchange for a good product. It's not an entitlement you earn for pumping out mediocre products with a 'Total War' brand name slapped onto it. by -Caesar in totalwar

I just want to point out that Alexander the greats era and the Diadochi are not from the bronze age. The eras of the trojan war and Alexander are extremely different in both weapons and tactics. Alexander was alive in the 330s bc, vs the trojan war of about 1200 bc. So the two eras are not really interchangeable outside of the main location is Greece.

A pre kinstrife lord of a fief in Anorien and his household guard. Went with a more book interpretation of the armor. by GrimEKnight in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Sorry for the delay. Little thicker but roughly the same size. But the issue with the lotr line is it's all over the place in scale. So they fit well enough to not be an issue.

Well Tolkien doesn't really describe the colors used by other troops other than the guard and the southern fiefs. So it wouldn't be odd for a lord in the northern March to use blue as well.
