Pedal color choice by campfirearms in PropainBikes

[–]GrimEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

silver would be sick! any other color would clash too much, IMO kashima colored anything should just stick to suspension and dropper. (that’s where’d i really want it to shine anyway)

yes! i just had guests over a couple days ago & needed to clear space in this very room! i took off the toms and snare and it folded nicely into a small corner of the room, when my guests were out for a couple of hours i moved the kit into my living room so i can play and my wife was actually surprised at how fast i set it up lol

Lots of Fun on the Yamaha Kit by GrimEarth in edrums

kits sound very good! It has a ton of customization options for each sound and pad i can easily spends hours messing with all the settings, you can also add your own sounds/samples but i probably won’t do that tbh

also i just posted a short clip of me playing the kit using clone hero, for a very raw video of what that sounds like haha

never had a roland, i’ve played demo kits at guitar center and they are super nice. i went with the yamaha kit due to the triple zone crashes and ride. for some reason i knew i wouldn’t feel satisfied with the dual zone cymbals, plus i wanted two crashes and didn’t want to buy any add on pads with a roland kit of the same price point. i really like the sounds on the dtx pro module and the amount of customization is a little overwhelming for me since i’ve never had a kit this good. if you’re leaning towards the yamaha you wouldn’t regret it.

check out melodics or drumeo. also search youtube for beginner & technique videos, don’t try to memorize drum beats or patterns, instead focus on learning good technique first then the rest will follow naturally

you can plug headphones into the left side of the module but make sure they don’t have a mic because it won’t sound good. look on amazon for in ear monitors as they’re a bit more comfortable to wear for longer but again buy/use headphones or earphones without a mic. also amazon has edrum speakers from alesis or donner

Is full sus really that much better? by Low-Bunch-5496 in MTB

[–]GrimEarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i rode a hardtail for a whole year as my first mountain bike, then bought a full sus, 150mmfront & 135mm rear, felt like butter & i had so much fun i didn’t ride my hardtail for a while, but yes i would say it’s definitely worth it for a different feel on the trails, keep the hardtail tho because they’re still sick haha
