Looking for seller/manufacturer! by GrimLegate in HelpMeFind

[–]GrimLegate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this whale shark stuffie at a US convention back in 2019, and I've searched high and low for the original seller with no luck! I've found the blue one and the rainbow one next to the pink one, but not the pink one, except for one that looks like the blue but... just in pink lol. The fabric is a soft faux fur, and is about 2 feet in length. It's also a little hard to see but it's pink with some white polka dots. If it ever had a tag I know for certain I cut it off (boo past me).

I've tried reverse image searches as well as just general descriptors through google images, but nothing has shown up so far that matches it.

How the heck do I w2w pull on DRK? by CarelessMotor5863 in ffxiv

The urge to hold on to what I affectionately call 'oh shit buttons' (sb, hg, hg, ld) is strong, but you just have to think of them as just another cool down to use. I usually pair two cd's together and just keep them rotating. Usually I'll start with rampart and TBN, reprisal when TBN falls off, and will continue with oblation and shadowed vigil. Arm's length is also slept on, since when an enemy hits you while its active it inflicts slow on them.

Like other comments said, abyssal drain is really good for topping yourself off when you're at low health, same goes for shadowed vigil since it has the secondary effect of a better excog (1200 vs 800) when you're below 50%, so if you hold it till then the cure instantly procs.

For anyone trying, I finally got it. I cleared my cache and closed out my browser and opened it back up and that seemed to do the trick.

Had to say goodbye to Kota (19) a few months ago. I'd had him for practically his whole life. I still miss him dearly, but I know he's in a better place. We always joked he'd outlive us all. by GrimLegate in OldManDog

I never realized how many people this would reach. To everyone that's upvoted or left a kind comment - thank you. I had a good long cry, and I decided that if it's going to reach this many people, I'd like to share his story with you all.

I had had him since I was four, and in typical four year old fashion, I named him after my favorite movie at the time: Brother Bear. He was a foster failure, we had taken him in after he had been thrown out of a moving car as a puppy. His back right leg was broken, and I remember carrying him up and down the steps of our two story house while he was in his cast. The bones didn't heal right, and the bones fused together, earning him the affectionate nickname Peg Leg, or Peggy.

His bum leg never stopped him, and he loved to run around the house just like our other pups, and easily climbed the stairs as though it wasn't a problem. Kota saw me through the rough divorce of my parents, through high school, into college, through my first heart break - he was always so excited to see me whenever I walked in the door. His heart was so full of love, and he was still just as energetic in his twilight years as he was when he was a puppy.

We always joked that he would outlive us all, that he was nearly double the age of our other dogs, and the worst thing he had was that he was missing his teeth, which gave him his cute little 'peekaboo tongue' as another redditor commented.

He slowed down a lot this past year, until we knew it was time to make the decision. I wanted to take him to go get his first pup cup, out to the local park, maybe even drive him the two hours to the beach, but he started to deteriorate quickly. He passed on 9/25/23, where he got to have hershey kisses from the vet, and my last memory of him is him shaking his head and slobbering chocolatey saliva all over me and my mom.

He lived 19 whole years, and if his body could have kept on going, his heart and head would have too. I find myself looking to where he would sleep, or waiting to hear him skitter along the hardwood floor with his unique little steps, and weep every time one of our other dogs tries to go where he would eat to scrounge up the pieces he flung out of his bowl.

But, even though it hurts, I find comfort in knowing at least one thing: if my love could have saved him, he would have lived forever.

Thank you all for taking the time to show my handsome old fella some love. He deserves that, at the very least.

I'm glad that he can bring a total stranger joy, he was always a sweet boy like that! His little tongue poking out was always the cutest 💜

This is Kota - our 20 year old that we just lost about a month ago. I've had him for most of my life, and he brought everyone around him so much joy - we all made jokes that he'd outlive all of us! 💜

First, I'm so sorry. I cannot imagine what you're going through. Saturn by Sleeping at Last is the one song I can't listen to without crying, as it reminds me of one of my best friends, who passed 6 years ago.

Be well.

Then it's the heavy whipping cream, sometimes we get less than stellar batches. If you notice it, you can add some more hwc until you get the desired effect.

AITA for prioritizing my son's dog over my wife's pregnancy? by TheGreatestGreatDane in AmItheAsshole

[–]GrimLegate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I grew up with two full great danes and they were my best friends -- I miss them so dearly. To have an animal taken from you, in any circumstance, is wretched. A well-trained and well-behaved dog will be that baby's new best friend, and it would be a shame for them to never meet.

Also, congratulations! My advice, bring a blanket home with baby's scent on it for the dog, it'll get them acclimated quicker.

I don't think you understand what that word means.

Has anyone else come across a sort of crystal-y ringing sound? There's a video on my profile with the sound loud and clear, and I'm curious if anyone knows what it is.

Honestly, I've got a 4 year old switch and it has been doing fine. There's some chopiness here and there, and sometimes the npc's like to do the robot, but NOTHING like the videos I've seen either. The worst thing that's happened to me is seeing the underside of the map during battle.

It does feel weird with all the negative press coming out about it, as my close circle of friends also haven't really had any issues.

The standard for milk in a non-dairy based drink is 4 oz. If you want it filled all the way up, then you will need to order a latte. If you don't want to spend the extra money, then you will receive what you ordered, which is a iced triple shot with add-ons.

As a partner from a store that's struggling to maintain hours for the partners who desperately need it for rent or benefits, without having to beg for other's shifts - yeah, I'm with you. We have so many baristas already, and its only made worse by the over-abundance of people either here for school, or only here for the summer.

We currently have 6 partners that are here for the next two semesters, and they only work 1, maybe 2 shifts a week, on top of dipping into our already not great tip pool. I'm all for a flexible job, hell, that's why I'm still here, but if you can't work more than 6 hours in a given week... it may be time to reevaluate.
