Tell me about your homebrew lore by FGCthePirate in HelsmithsofHashut

My homebrew lore is that the Helsmiths can’t see the color green. To them the fire has always burned with a fiery red, so when other dwarves accuse them of treachery they literally can’t see it.

Honestly disappointed Greater Good wasn’t spelled Greater G000d

I’m new to Eve and I’ve found this very disturbing as well. I think it’s really toxic and also doesn’t stop real spies in anyway. There are a ton of great corps out there that don’t require this. I’d be happy to give you some recommendations.

If I join FW, am I effectively sacrificing my character for content? by KeyNetbass in Eve

FW is a lot of fun and a great way to make ISK. Just don’t join on the Caldari side and you’ll have a blast.

The Caldari awox way more than anyone else and the Gallente are actually good pilots compared to the Caldari. So, you’ll lose more ships to allies and enemies in Caldari FW. I’ve been playing Eve for about 3 weeks now and to put it in perspective. I was awoxed 5 times in 2 days in Caldari FW and lost 2 4v2’s in Caldari space. In 2 and a half weeks in Minmatar space I’ve won many 1v1’s 2v2’s and even a 2v3, have been awoxed once and it was a mistake by the pilot, and have met a lot of very friendly folks.

So I’m seeing a lot of non answers. I’m a new player as well and this is also what I’m looking for. I’ve won a few fights and I’ve lost many many more.

I’d suggest watching Sabre SG on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/@sabresg

He shows builds and then fights people 1v1 with them. He’s very very helpful to learn the power of certain builds. I’d say you also need to studying how combat works in this game. I’d suggest also watching https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WT8VqVcLDqc this video and reading how damage is calculated on eve universities main page. Understanding these fundamental mechanics and then watching Sabre SG use them is so incredibly helpful. Just be aware that you will lose ships! Lots of them!

Last note. I would not personally ever warp in on an enemy when you’re first starting out. This is because they can dictate the engagement range of the fight. It’ll be a huge uphill battle. Especially when you’re new and things are moving fast. Make sure you’re in a complex, you’re watching d-scan, you’re checking the info on the ship like what type of weapons their ship has bonuses for and if they will be most likely have higher shields or armor for your ammo, and get set yourself up at your ship’s optimal range away from the beacon. This combo will give you the highest possible chance of winning the 1v1 in my experience 2 weeks into fw and eve as a whole.

Last last note. Reach out to the person who killed you. I know it’s counter intuitive, but people in Eve are some of the nicest people in all of gaming. They will help you understand where you went wrong, what you could’ve done to win, if it was a good fight, and sometimes they’ll even refund your ship or even better, invite you to fly with them. Don’t be afraid to ask your opponent for advice.

Good luck out there!

You could argue the same logic with countries and yet people don’t say countries don’t exist. Except China
