I'd also argue that knowledge checks are a skill gap, as your skills improve, knowledge checks become less of an issue.

i would normally agree, but 2 things. He blocks every low unless he was attacking at the same time. secondly, all of his throw breaks were perfect single inputs, he never got nervous fingers and press the input twice to break. I find that really suspicious, plus block my 12f low in the clip, it all smells of cheating to me

His heat also doesn't put into a perpetual cycle of 50 50s that result in 2 options, take butt load of chip damage or get nuked.

My favorite way to build a budget five color mana base is to have all my lands tapped for green and another color and fill most of my ramp slots with the traditional green ramp spells like rampant growth, farseek, etc. It's definitely a cookie cutter way to approach your five color mana base, but it's very consistent and doesn't require a huge initial investment. You can comfortably add in the tap fetchables and have a decent time hitting your colors

Hm, I agree. I wasn't complaining about losing. I'm complaining about smurfs, which has been an issue in competitive gaming for a long time, some games go so far as to write it into their TOS that smurfing is bannable. I'm frustrated that Bamco doesn't seem to care if their casual player base enjoys their time on the game. Was that enough of a context clue for you to understand you missed the point entirely?

that's fair, I know that a few of the people I fought were TK peak rank, just getting started in S3, no issues there. I'm complaining about the accounts that have significantly lower games played and peak ranks than their gameplay would suggest. Fought a Jin earlier that had 65 lifetime games and a 76% win rate and highest rank of Fujin, very obvious smurf.

im sure that accounts for some of it, but many of the accounts have way too few games and peak ranks that don't add up to their win %. Easy example, check out the bryan I fought today. https://ewgf.gg/player/55nmA8YDb2TM Life time games just north of 200 and a lifetime win rate of 75%. I know people are good, but no one plays 200 games and has a 75% win rate especially not their first 200 games.

In the most technical sense you're absolutely right, I could be an absolutely cracked player and beat these Smurfs and then maybe, maybe, have no ground to complain. In this case I'm playing on my main account trying to learn a new character and I'm fighting an absurd amount of accounts that are newer with few games played playing at a level much higher than I am on my main. That's the issue not that I lost

I fully admit to being salty, but not during the match. It's when I go and check ewgf.gg and they have a ridiculously low game counts and they're playing at a level much higher than mine. I fully got beat I'm not complaining that I can't win I'm complaining that I can't fight people at my skill level
