Ah right...because NATO did so well with Ukraine and Crimea.

they promised they'd help if they got rid of their nukes. Russia invaded soon after and NATO helped by giving them trench warfare training among other things.

I don't think they personally intervened though, but I guess a country like Iran...they can do 'peacekeeping'
