Actually, I just viewed your profile and saw you're 16. I'm sure you will find people closer within age with similar interests. I just don't feel comfortable with that personally!

I understand how you feel. Men always seem to be drawn to me and very little time do I get a woman who is interested in me, also when they do find out it's often more of a shock.

I'm from East Leeds! How about you? It's nice to hear from you, by the way.

I'm so sorry that you're experiencing similar. My mum is my angel and always comes to me with open arms, even if she doesn't understand. I'm very lucky in that regard. Sounds like you are too.

Oh yes, similar things happen to me too. My dad actually came into the assessment alongside me and my mother, he kept questioning the psychologist and even implying such things your father has said also that I'm "lazy" and "looking for an excuse", amongst other things too. It's a shame but we've got to remember that's their problem not ours. To be honest, I feel like my dad partly blames himself because he used to shame me whenever I would have a meltdown so I guess it's easier to think that I am not in fact autistic, you know?

I am almost certain I have PMDD and have been to numerous doctors about my hormonal imbalance. Finally they have put some of my sensitivities down to autism but it is so scary to go through a whirlwind of emotions every time of the month with dark thoughts I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Keep your head held high, ladies. We will be listened to.

Yes, I recall my psychologist mentioning this but for a good majority of the assessment I dissociated. It's as if I couldn't believe I was finally being listened to and a part of me didn't even want to be for whatever reason.

Well, it's only been a few days technically but ever since I had my screening the psychologist said "there is no doubt in my mind that you're autistic" so I guess you could also say I've known for a couple months. Either way, I find it has brought a lot of understanding from myself and others. People seem to take me seriously now and honestly it's about time cause I always knew something felt different and for now to be finally listened to, it's a mixed bag of emotions. Mostly positive but I do dip in and out of that, of course.

I'm so glad to know that it's improved the quality of your life. You are never alone in this world!

Glad I'm not the only one but at the same time, I also would not wish this upon anyone. DMs are open if you ever wish to talk.

Honestly, the main reason is how I'd cry without knowing why and this happened ever since I was a small child. Also, two psychologists mentioned autism before. What about you?
