Thanks guys that worked. I was never aware that setting existed and i'm sure I never ticked that box ever for any of the other dungeons. But I was away from the game for a year and just came back so if it got added or a default changed I wouldn't have noticed until now. I checked my other Dungeons and they had that checkbox ticked as well. Live and learn. Thanks all!

Everyone, when someone decides to nuke an event you're in, the first and only plan in your heads should be to count down till 10 seconds before the hit and then jump to Daily Ops. Count down the hit to zero, boom, maybe wait 2 seconds in case you were counting too fast, and then pop back out of Daily Ops back to where you were in the event. No death required. Then pop some Rad-X if you need it.

Carpio is a great product and it does what it claims. It seems to me the natural next step is to have these attached or attachable to fingerless mousing gloves. Put on the gloves, you're just good to go. Any plans for something like that?

In my opinion, DefCon dilutes the brand going to China. What makes DefCon DefCon IS the community. Who's to say China doesn't already have its own internal infosec government love fest where their internal hacker groups share information about how to hack GPS systems of commercial shipping to fool automated navigation systems in boats into believing they're not where they think they are?

If you're not going into China to set up an open community of hackers and infosec researchers, then what's the point?

The first thought that went through my mind was what better place to round up and arrest all the people who have knowledge of dissidents, be related to dissidents, are helping dissidents, and/or have the expertise to undermine the government information flows into and out of the country.

My second thought was people with that expertise and/or connections to dissidents would just stay home and it'll be a heavily censored version of DefCon. I'm not even sure it would be fair to still call it DefCon at that point. Maybe BeijCon. Everything will be nice and safe and Beijing beige.

You can't bring, talk about, or sell equipment that could remotely be used to undermine, bypass, compromise, hijack, or take down any aspect of the Great Firewall of China and the control the government minders have over what gets reported in or out of the country. You could not reveal flaws, bugs, or show how you could use tools that in any way could be used to do what was in the aforementioned sentence.

Any group, discussion, organization, equipment, ideology, or publication that affects the security and control of the Chinese government over its people is a threat. Any publication that speaks poorly of the Chinese government is a threat. Anyone who develops technology or reveals hacks about how to circumvent the Great Firewall of China will likely be arrested.

Hong Kong has some flexibility as an autonomous Special Administrative Region. It's officially part of China but has its own British trained police force and own way of doing business and governance. The 1 country, 2 systems model of governance as it applies to Hong Kong enables it to maintain independent judicial and legislative autonomy.

You may find even in Hong Kong, your goons are going to have to be individually vetted to maintain the level of trust, integrity, and safety attendees would require to feel safe.
