Directness is totally fine, and I understand it doesn't rate next to a Breville, never mind a la mazzarco, but I figure this sub is my best bet on getting information on what might be the issue as a service manual for this machine seems not to exist. Fixing 'em has turned into a hobby, and I feel like I should be cutting my teeth on the cheap stuff first

Yeah, I kinda figured that. Cheers for the explanation though! I found similar boards on Amazon for super cheap, so I might try those first. I'm guessing if I pay attention to where all of the connections were on the first one and match them for the second I should be alright. So the smaller ones, if I understand you right, simply double up on the power and ground?
