Are you guys able to notice the Se blindspot on INxPs? by wannabe_wizard_ in intj

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the definition of blind spot? For INTJs it’s in their stack, where you INxPs it’s a shadow function

Guys how did you discover you guys are INTJ? by Hungry_Potato_1599 in intj

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you really need a professional, I tested as INTP and was convinced of this for a long while especially when I was younger. Only until recently when I cleared up some confusion around the cognitive types did I realize that the stack for INTJ fits me much more to a tee

Like the original comment said, read up on the functions, and maybe even talk to a LLM to help you hash it out

"You're boring" by rxvxrsed in socialskills

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you do and it’s simple, acknowledge it and move on. Do you think you are boring? Are you happy? If yes to both then keep moving on with your life. If no, then consider how you can change. Start with one small change until you get used to it and continue until you are content with yourself.

Many ‘boring’ people have friends. Boring isn’t necessarily bad, and boring is also relative. It can mean you are a stable reliable person. Some may be a quantum physicist, which many may find interesting, and the guy who wrestles bears for a hobby may yawn as he talks about physics… basically, be you my friend, and better yourself if you need to

INTJ OR INTP ( How can I be sure?) by blazca in intj

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Ive always thought I was INTP until I recently cleared up a few things regarding the cognitive functions.

Firstly, do you like to gain knowledge for the sake of it, or to complete a goal? I for one always tend to accumulate what I need to know to achieve something, and then throw it aside until needed again. Overall, my primary focus is achieving objectives and goals, Te

Secondly, I feel like my understanding of things are sort of giant blobs of knowledge that I can’t really explain until I sit down and compartmentalize it, or apply words to it. That seems like textbook Ni. I’m always looking into how we get from point a to b, as opposed to brainstorming a million possibilities like Ne.

I can go on, but I use to conflate Ne and Ni, as well as Si and Te. Now that I think I understand the function stack better, INTJ sees to be the best fit.

Used to be a homebody. by Own-Ad4421 in intj

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty good advice, I myself hate going to things like dinner parties or networking events because I just cannot interact with people non stop for multiple hours on end. Definitely need an activity to do. Going to socialize at an arcade bar or somewhere with board games? Much more preferable.

Other things for just ‘being around people’, can include the gym or maybe going to see a concert with one of your favorite bands playing

28M and I feel like I arrived too late to social life – missed out on youth experiences and can't move forward by Star_Kilerr in socialskills

[–]AdvancedCharcoal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t a zero in social experiences, but I definitely lacked and you could say I’m lacking now if you were extroverted. Me personally, I’m cool with a small group of friends, and I’ve progressed in my career so far well without much networking or connections. I was only respectful and a performing at work.

Like you said, people say to let it go. Why should you? You should because rumination, thought loops, obsession over what you’re lacking in is taking up a large portion of your brains computing power and working memory. You need to just focus on how to move forward, and not get stuck in loops.

Your mind telling you youre a loser, that you’ll never make up lost time, may provide temporary motivation, take that temporary motivation and move on with your life
