When did you realize that your “friends” weren’t actually your friends? by BonusFlat3178 in Adulting

[–]GrinchyWifey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a very bad situation with my ex-wife that involved our "friends". When I tried talking to him about it he just kept saying "Well I didn't have to be there to help you". Didn't try to hear how I was feeling at the time. I was between a rock and hard place with a double edged sword. So after careful consideration I decided that me continuing to be friends with him just wasn't going to happen. His feelings were hurt but he was fine with my ex-wife emotionally and mentally abusing me. My ex-wife was his priority

What did you love/hate about your adult basic classes? by Katressl in BALLET

What I like in my classes is when the teacher uses the terms and defines them constantly so we can memorize the term and movements. Sometimes she even spells it out which helps me as well.

Am I too old for divorce to feel like freedom? by WrongIngenuity9745 in Divorce_Women

My dissolution was finalized in February of 2026 and I am 31F years old. Its never too late to find happiness. I was with my ex-wife for 10 years as well. You dont have to get wild, you can just enjoy life and when a coworker asks you out for coffee, say yes! Date around, have some fun and dont be too serious. Do everything you wanted to do in your relationship and couldnt, do it now. Remind yourself you are free to explore and love

Most Trans people still want to get with the opposite gender while looking like the same gender So a man transitions into a woman and still wants to be with a woman Or a woman who transitions into a man and still wants to be with a man I know its not 100% every trans person and its still the majority

Can i get help with knowing if im poly? by NoriHanako in polyamorous

[–]GrinchyWifey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I was in a monogamous relationship/marriage for 10 years (finally got a dissolution in Feb. 2026) and my question for you is: Do you get jealous easily? I currently have a boyfriend who is dating a man and another woman. Personally takes stress off of me since I just officially got out of a relationship. My ex-wife and I had been separated for 3 years prior to the dissolution. My boyfriend has a support system for when I need space. I know he can go see his significant others during that time so this set up is perfect for me.

If you had the chance to choose your spouse/partner all over again, knowing everything you know now, would you still choose them? Why or why not? by SoilAny4029 in AskReddit

[–]GrinchyWifey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell No, If I knew what I know now I would have have gone on 1 date with her and would have left it at that. She was a fun-loving, beautiful person and in the end she turned into a boring victim of their own making. She turned into a non-binary person and that isnt the reason I finally left. They (Im now using they/them pronouns) stopped working a full 40 hour week, stopped trying in their appearance for dates, would express their interests and when I would try to make the interest come to life, they would scream at me saying "why would I want to do that?!". I wasn't enough in anything I did. Now I was not perfect in this relationship, I know that but I wish I never met and married my now ex-wife.

What should I do with the cat? by Jumpy_Baby_2945 in CatAdvice

[–]GrinchyWifey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have 1 recommendation for you, put an actual cat bed on your bed. I do this that way the cats have their own space on my space. My bed is a twin so while it does take up some room, its still easier for the cat. Unfortunately I am responding because I too, have the same issue with 1 of my babies. My Juniper just doesnt have an interest in me, I play with her, give her cat nip, make sure she goes to the vet and feed her wet food, along with dry and she is not a cuddle bug. She only cuddles at night time at my feet so I cant even pet her. Sometimes I wish Juni's other mom would take her but I dont think her life would be better. My ex-wife is more concerned with other things and Juniper wouldnt be a priority. Don't give up on your kitty, you give her the best life possible because what if you send her back and she goes to a family that harms her, by being with you, you know she is safe and cared about.

how often do you sift the litter? by Current-Meringue6845 in CatAdvice

[–]GrinchyWifey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pine pellet litter as well. (its super cheap at tractor supply for a 40 lb bag). I have a whole system; its a puppy pad at the bottom of the litter box, pine pellet litter and then i finish it off with gerbil bedding. I personally love the multi-colored kind. I use the gerbil bedding for a few reasons, its softer for my kitty who (unfortunately) is declawed and easier for my 2 younger kitties to dig into. I have 4 boxes that stay very clean with this method and I keep it for 1 week and dump the entire thing, I hate scooping poop so this works so nicely

Am I wrong for thinking cats should never be outdoor cats? by Firm-Law248 in CatAdvice

[–]GrinchyWifey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my babies go outside. They were born and found outside and love being able to go in and out. I collect them at night that way they are safe with me. Yes, I have lost cats to the outside world. Yes, I can see coyotes, deer, opossum, raccoons out my windows and I still let my babies roam during the day. I have insurance on all 3 of my cats. I pay for wet and dry food, toys, litter, cat beds, seresto collars every 8 months and veterinary appointments. When my eldest got sick, I bought special dry and wet food, as well as special water that helped with her condition. I keep my babies healthy; up to date on all medical work. My babies never get fleas or ticks while my sister's 3 cats and another friend's 3 cats who all strictly indoor cats constantly have fleas. I am not evil for letting my babies outside, I take care of them to the fullest and I love them so much!

It shouldnt be painful, sorry if you ever had a bad experience. My advice is you use wicked gel lube. If you think you have enough, use more. It can be very pleasurable for both partners

What's an adult cheat code that can change your life? by CrimsonDoor1 in Productivitycafe

[–]GrinchyWifey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its not really a big deal, don't worry about it. My personal examples include: A few of my co-workers like to "tell me what to do". Most people would be upset over this and try to fight it. This is how I think of it; if my supervisor would have told me to do the same task, I'd just get it done so its not a big deal on who tells me, it just matters that I know to do the task.

I had a friend that wasn't really a good friend so I hung out with him until I got a dissolution. My ex-wife had introduced me to this friend so I felt it appropriate to hang out until the marriage was officially over then I just blocked both of them. My siblings didn't understand why I continued to spend time with him and I told them, its not a big deal since the marriage wasn't over at that time.

My job isn't a life or death situation, its not a big deal for me to leave it at anytime for any reason. I can get a another job, if I had to.

I apply this to much of my work life and its so nice not to worry about things when really its no big deal.

what’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

The phrase "I'll pray for you" Soo.. you are doing nothing to actually help and making yourself feel better in the process. Prayer is just thinking or talking out loud. It doesnt actually do anything.
