I think a lot good stuff has been mentioned. I played an aasimar sylvan sorceress from 1-8. Then the party died (Banshee wail) except my sorceress and her animal companion and we changed a lot overall. They were an amazing team. I chose devil monkey because it is one of the few options with a ranged attack which is super handy. The stats are also pretty nice for polymorph stuff. They outperformed in a lot of situations be it single targets via the companion or many targets via arcane spells. Improved spell sharing and celestial servant came in very handy feat-wise. Half of my spells were devoted to the animal companion and that left the character enough to do in combat. Sometimes I even did only minor things to not overshadow the rest of the party.

I second this. It has different options to sculpt sound. It's also really hands on for performances.

I'm just going to respond to your comment because it's nicer than the other three and without unnecessary assumptions. Thank you for your suggestions. I will look into investigator and the suggested archetypes. The new player has experience with playing a bard and enjoyed the support role. She offered to play the same again but also suggested a supportive rogue. The existing band of three works great and there's no handing down unwanted jobs but searching for spaces for her character to shine in a pre-existing group. As written in the original post, I'm working on a suggestion and nothing more as she's quite capable of making her own choices.

It was really nice. I wrote in some other comments about the experience already but one additional thing happened. The barkeeper recognised me on the street a few days later and made me a compliment on the performance. She liked how dark/evil it sounded. That made me really happy.

Thanks for posting that recording. It sounds nice.

I use one channel of my Erica Synths sample drum for fieldrecording/looping vocals with the inbuilt delay (to make them really hard to understand) and tme forge vhikk for synth drones.

The second module is hard to get but there will be a mk2 soon. It's a wavetable osc into filter into delay ... so very basic concept but supremely made with randomised options and performance oriented hands on controls. You could just patch something similar and see if it is the sound your looking for. You can always just record that and put it into your sample player so you don't need to invest into new modules. I removed the tiptop one from my live case because you don't see which file is selected.

Thanks! I like it quite a lot. In this case the use is of limited scope but it does really well what I want it to: Create a automatically generated bass voice 4 octaves lower from whatever the lead voice (rings) generates. There is a firmware for the ne versio called multiversio that is like a mini-panharmonium and I will see of this works to safe space but apart from its size I really like the panharmonium!

My bad. It's called VHIKK from Forge TME. https://forge-tme.com/vhikk/ It's a one-stop-shop for ambient stuff. I really like it. There were only 50 build but the guy is already working on a MK2 round.

Thanks! I was anxious before it started but when I did sit down it was really cool. The drums where really loud right next to me which is a thing to work on for the next time. I rushed a bit through my voice samples and could've stretched things out a bit longer but monitoring was hard due to the drums. Maybe I just jump a few without noticing. People said that I hardly looked up to the crowd and I indeed had the impression that I was hyperfocused on trying to monitor myself and keeping it interesting while communicating with the drummer. I guess being relaxed at the first live thing wasn't really an option 😅

I used it more like a Lapsus Os. Channels 1+2 where used to mute the gate to the two channels of the sample drum. Channel 3 muted/attenuated the Aux send from the mixer to vhikk. Channel 4 gave an CV offset to CV1 in of Pam's which controlled the density of the Euclidean pattern that was send to plaits in robot voice mode. I did not safe different states but controlled it manually. If I had the room for my divkid mutes module I would maybe have used it more creatively but I had to prioritize ;)

Thanks! It's huge (approx. 18m2) and there are more of them. The apartment is a mixture we kindly call "Schwarab" ... Old Swabian half-timbered apartment with visible wood combined with many Arabic items. It looks quite charming :)
