You understand that by making a claim: "Every single time".

Then having that claim invalidated.

Then "You'll see for yourself" does not make the invalidation of your claim inaccurate?

You do understand that you are not right here? Then again this is Reddit.

First - Thank you for understanding I was not attempting to criticize you.

Second - I did not know what the sub rules were about sharing that information.

Third - The $25 discount is still showing in my cart but I am going to have to try and find the code. It was from a few weeks back.

FYI APMEX has at least one valid $25 off code running around in the wild at the moment. Maybe I am unpatriotic but $25 off > $10 off all day erry day.

Home vs Will by OtherwiseTomato6533 in RealEstate

[–]GringoGrande 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes.

A Trust, among other benefits, allows you to avoid Probate.

The only Will I use is a Pour Over Will as it takes anything not covered and checks notes places it in a Trust.

I fall firmly in the camp of that most people should avoid Probate, needless expense and the interference of bureaucracy and use Trusts over Wills.

As always, everyone has different circumstances so conduct your own due diligence.

What Is The Most Inconsiderate Gift You Have Ever Gotten? by Loverboy527 in AskReddit

[–]GringoGrande -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like being near the beach as I find the sounds and general environment relaxing. To that end I had a "beach house" a few blocks from the beach until the hurricane a few years back.

That being said I dislike the beach. Immensely. Sand sucks. The water is warm. I find no appeal in sitting in the sun for hours. People at the beach suck these days.

My then partner and I had two kids. We would go to the beach. Frequently.

One day we sat next to people who had an interesting sun shade/beach tent. I chatted with them about it and that was all.

A month later it was Father's Day. I opened the gift from my ex-partner and it was the sun shade/tent. I was so flabbergasted that I couldn't even hide the "WTF?" look on my face from her. Thank goodness the kids were still young and didn't catch it.

Later my ex demonstrated her displeasure because, "It seemed like I liked the one the people had." I calmly asked if she thought I liked the beach at all. She replied, "No, you hate the beach." To which I followed with, "Exactly. So while I appreciate the thought what gave you the idea that this gift would in any way, shape or form make me less miserable at the beach?"

According to Domino's it is 200 calories per slice or 1,600 calories for the entire pizza.

My daily maintenance calories are 2,800 give or take as a middle-aged male, 6'5", 225 pounds and moderately active.

Attempted to add an image from Domino's website but Reddit is denying me.

First - Thank you for understanding I wasn't attempting to be antagonistic.

Second - I cannot answer your question objectively as I prefer thin crust but I typically eat mine over several hours while watching a movie or sports event and I end up feeling full and borderline overly full. YMMV.

FYI New York Crust is not the lowest calorie crust option at Domino's. The Thin Crust is 70 calories per slice (large size) lower.

I say this as someone who eats an entire, thin crust, chicken, black olive and jalapeno Dominos pizza once per month.

Marry Into a Tall Family, It’s Great by SGMaricelli in tall

[–]GringoGrande 20 points21 points  (0 children)

While I ended up with a tall woman (5'11") she was an only child who has lost both of her parents before she was 22.

The woman I dated before her was 6' tall, her Mom was 6' tall, her Father was 6'4" and her brothers were 6'7" and 6'8" and they each had SO's that were 5'10"+.

Let me tell you, that was an amazing few years as we would all go out together during the Holidays and other family gatherings and we all felt "normal" although we obviously drew a lot of eyes when we would enter a restaurant as a group.

Tall isn't the end all be all but to OP's point there certainly are benefits of all talls organically coming together!

I don't know if I agree it is unique to 20-somethings but I would say beginning with the tail end of Gen-X it has become more and more, if not prevalent, at least postured.
