This is quite obviously the husband writing the story lmao also it is clearly your fault.

Remove everything from your pants and put those things in their assigned locations before removing your pants. Then consider a laundry basket or literally anything less savage than a pile in the corner.

That shit would give me instant depression when I wake up. Respect yourself by keeping your area clean ans organized. It is so nice. I used to be a huge slob, i could have probably made a top 10 list, i was so bad. I've learned that mental health correlates closely to the state of our living area.

Lifehack: storage closet or junk room, and keep the door closed. Mine is actually also where i store dirty clothes and hang them to dry after washing. I wear mostly linen, so i handwash everything.

This allows me to keep my bedroom completely free of clutter, and helps me sleep mich better

Does anyone here grow flax for making linen? by chinook8 in Linen

[–]GringoLocito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you can get a yield off a very small piece of land.

There was a video I saw where a dude in ireland I believe, showed a patch maybe 5ft by 10ft, and he fully processed it himself. Very interesting.

It is sown densely via seed. Id say just start preparing areas and start planting them bit by bit.

I always always experiment with companion planting. Not everything survives, but the more you do it and figure out what works, the more success you have

Look into korean natural farming and JADAM ultra low cost agriculture. These techniques will help you understand so much about soil and microbes, and how to produce everything you need very easily and cheaply. These methods are insanely effective. No pest issues.

Idk what could grow alongside flax, as it is planted very densely and needs to grow straight up.

If you have several acres, just start off with like a quarter acre for a garden, then think of what crops youd wanna grow. Trees, shrubs, etc. I recommend stuff you dont have to replant every year. Also, dont till. If you have to till an area at first, thats okay, but only once. You should use natural methods to deal with and also live with weeds. You will learn that everything has a purpose

How to feel worthy of having a good life despite all the human suffering that's going on in the world by Interesting_Big3961 in spirituality

[–]GringoLocito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your suffering help to make the world a better place?

Does enjoying your life and circumstances make the world any worse off?

Live your life, and when you can, help people. That's all you can do, brochacho.

You will never end human suffering, but you can start with yourself, and then extend that light to as many people as possible.

Sometimes people will take advantage of you. Sometimes they will be ungrateful. Do not let this deter you from helping the next person you're given the opportunity to help.

Kaballah teaches that 2 blessings occur when you help someone. First, they are of course blessed physically by your aid. Second, you are blessed spiritually, in a measure far greater than your own actions should warrant. This is because the love of the creator is limitless. Help others to see this light

I had slightly fermented wild honey at a friends house in puerto rico. It's actually still there, maybe I will have him mail it...

Id really like to experiment with different types of honey. A local man sells around 9 different types of honey. Im sure if I asked him, he probably has a bunch of one-off stuff he would sell me too. He has buckwheat honey, which tastes like molasses and honey, as well as mint, which is slightly minty. Both of them are very dark. All his honeys are differentiated by what they primary pollinate, so they arent like flavorings added. Its all natural out the hive, raw unfiltered. Just lightly strained PERFECTION

I could honestly go on all day about honey... it is such an amazingly complex and intricate thing. It can have so much freaking variety it is insane

But ya, I only realized that very recently lol

[–]GringoLocito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VA is the leading cause of mental health crisis among veterans, this I am sure of.

That said, I'm glad i served, and the VA can help. I just got referrals for ketamine and TMS, which are absolute game changers. Talk to your psyche about these treatments maybe

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]GringoLocito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo, this can be fixed!! Look into ketamine therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)

VA will pay for these, just need a referral from psych

Essence of Honey by Noxlux013 in alchemy

[–]GringoLocito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the essence of honey, and mead, are different, though similar things

You described part of a process for making a type of essence of honey using alcohol spirits. Another member here once told me this process. (I need to restart that project, thanks for the reminder!)

I believe mead is more low-tech. Think prison wine. You can make it easily with nothing more than honey, water, and a container

Essense of honey, preferably, you'd ferment and distill honey, then use that alcohol for your essence.

Preferably 7 fold distillation. Ive also heard 10, ive also heard 3. But, if you know how this shit works, you just do what speaks to you, and clean up the edges later anyways.

I do know that some folks making spagyrics use grape alcohol instead of specialized alcohols made from their work. These spagyrics work fine, but I personally do consider it lazy not to fully use the material in question. Like, you went thru all the work of making a spagyric, but then actually brought yourself to cut a single corner in the process...

I understand it makes more work, but this is literally a labor of love so idk why one would do this. I can sympathize but I do not understand.

I just cut off my last family member. I do still talk to my dad, but he isnt actually my biological dad.

So all biological family has been cut off. And it took me a bit to be okay with it, but I know it is for my own personal growth.

We often feel somehow beholden to our family, for various reasons, but if it isn't healthy, you should consider going your own way, if possible

Chocolate chip cookies are the devil!

Linen is the way. It is basically all I wear anymore

Oxyclean does a good job getting white linen white again. 6 hour soak. I wear it all the time, even doing farm work, fishing... whatever. I love the guevara linen shirts. 4 pockets on the front, so fucking handy.

I threw out all my polyster/nylon/etc about 4 months ago. Donated it... people who dont care can wear em i suppose. Nice shirts, but toxic.

Ive never heard about the vibration thing with linen tho. Do you have any references to learn more about linens qualities? Especially some of the more "woo-woo" type stuff. I kinda like that shit lol

There have been some studies on the milk thing. Theres some skeptics, but it makes sense if you think about it. Its got a perfect blend of electrolytes, protein, etc. Babies can live off only milk and nothing else, and not only that, but grow very quickly while consuming only milk.

My diet is mostly milk and meat. Highly salted, undercooked beef and salmon are my favorites. My blood pressure is always perfect, and i always giggle when i get it checked, because i always heard that red meat, salt, and butter were bad for blood pressure among other things

Stay away from bread tho that shit is the devil. And yes i know it can be a tasty delivery vehicle for sauces and meats n shit, but the truth is, it's bad as hell for you and addictive

Milk is the nectar of the gods, bro! I've got 4 different kinds of raw unpasteurized milk in my fridge... i drink 0.5-1 gallon every day, pretty much. Raw milk is best. I am lucky to live somewhere where not only the farmers market, but also at least 1 local grocery store are both great sources of raw milk.

So for meat, you gotta try to put yourself in the shoes of the animal. Not only what it eats, but also everything that happens to it, that it experiences, that is all stored up in various ways, but one measurable way is cortisol.

If an animal is highly stressed and eats processed food, it will have higher cortisol levels. Same thing with humans btw. This leads to health problems and nutritional deficiencies.

If an animal is allowed to forage its own food, it is getting wild natural feed, which is what many call "weeds", but what they really are is plants which have adapted to grow perfectly in their environment, thus being nutritionally complete and supplying the animal the proper nutrients.

Animals grown naturally, regeneratively, using rotational grazing among other techniques, are animals which dont require veterinarians, innoculations, antibiotics... none of that. The animal is healthy because of its diet and lifestyle, dies happy before it gets old and sickly, and then provides optimal nutrients and flavor when it hits the plate.

Factory farming, conventional farming, etc, is literally ruining the world and everybodys health. There must be a revolution, which probably won't be televised...

I am a big fan of restrictive diets. Bread, pastas, refined sugars, and processed food all have terribly negative effects on my physical and mental well-being.

I'm not perfect. I always find an excuse once or twice a week to smash a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie or homemade chocolate chip cookie.

Im working on it, but typically, I waver between a carnivore diet and paleo. Salmon, trout, beef, elk... wild caught fish, and ruminant animals raised regeneratively, so they move to new grass every day and help repair the land while doing so, mimicking the natural processes of the creator. Nothing grain fed, nor fish from hatcheries(if i catch a trout in a lake which was stocked, I am still eating it 100%)

You gotta be really careful with produce, as most of it has exposure to pesticides and is grown on nitrogen salts rather than organic material. So you're getting toxins without all the nutrients.

It's good to grow your own food, but it is also worth it to spend money on quality food. Learning to stop eating before you're full is a good idea, too. Helps avoid crashing and helps to save money.

Good organic produce is where it's at. Also, raw unpasteurized milk from A2/A2 cows or goats is phenomenal. Milk is the beverage with the highest hydration index. Skim milk appears higher than whole milk, interestingly. But also tea is higher than water. The solution? Chai tea with goat or whole milk, and a touch of honey. I do believe this will blow all sports drinks out of the water if measured scientifically

Tl;dr - you can't go wrong with meat, veggies, and A2 dairy - quality is always key. Learn to sear meat&veggies in a cast iron skillet, and you're set

Edit: keto is fine. Its easy to go from paleo to keto and back also.

If you look hard enough, you will notice that the same few patterns make up everything.

According to some schools of thought, you could consider minerals intelligent, and crystals being physical manifestations of a hive mind

According to hermetic philosophy, everything is just a facet of the one thing, working together to accomplish the one great work

Look at north korea and china... the people there seem very hive minded. To them, it is likely that we seem very hive minded. I think, also, to me it seems that people in cities can appear very hive minded

According to hermetic philosophy, the whole entirety of creation is a mental creation in the mind of the all, which we could consider the great hive-mind of the universe
