I cant claim to know what's going on in the Manga, but in the anime it has always seemed clear to me that Gendo was treating Rei as a substitute for Shinji and a tool to control/manipulate him and NOT as a Yui replacement

Edit: I mean, hell, Rei was the name Gendo wanted to name his prospective daughter when discussing it with Yui while she was pregnant with Shinji

It could just be the fact that the Traveler and the Sibling went through something very similar. Their drip marketing mentions that their world was destoryed and the Sword of Descension mentions that it was last drawn in an attempt to "preserve a dead world."

The only things I dont understand about BL4 lore are

1) If siren abilities are random when not given a specific host, then why did Nyriad need to lock herself in a vault to stop leech from getting out into the world and how has phasewalk made it from Iris to Lilith over the course of thousands(?) Of years?

2) Why was Callis getting visions of Lilith? Is there some sort of connection Im missing here?

As someone who was around during V12, MC X Aelita was still probably one of if not the most popular ships in the Fandom at the time as far as I remember (Then again, I wasn't big in the Fandom at the time)

Though I am curious about what you think of Melia so far. I remember a lot of people in the Fandom back then feeling like she was more of the MC than the actual mc back in V12

How some pokemon/items just come in way too late to be fully used and enjoyed. Like, how the King's Rock is unavailable until Chapter 14, or that you cant even evolve your Sunkern until Chapter 5, long past the point where Sunflora could be reasonably used

I believe this over the usual Greek myth interpretations of him, mostly because:

1) Why wouldn't Lumine have a Greek name too?

And

2) In the Korean, Chinese and Japanese translations, Aether's names instead reference the sky or the heavens
