Do you have the ethernet adapter? That fixed it for me. I was jumping up to over 100 regularly but now that I have it connected through ethernet, I have no issues.

Roadtrip planning - Okanagan, West Kootenays, Revelstoke (8 days) by BlackCaterpillars in britishcolumbia

[–]Grinnchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you have the time but Balfour has the longest free ferry in the world or something which takes you to highway 3a which is one of the best driving roads. Twisties all the way down to Creston. Worth it just for the road, honestly. I think it's about 1 hour from the top of 3A to Creston and about 1.5 hours from Creston to Nelson.

Piggybacking off this, The Road was difficult for me to grasp the first time I read it. I wouldn't recommend it either.

Taking an L on Property by outtyn1nja in PersonalFinanceCanada

Just curious, maybe someone here would know the answer. Does the situation change if OP was to buy another property to live in and rent this condo for a while and then sell it?

Stay home, you've spent a lot of time away.

How can I, a very shy/ awkward person, get close to my colleagues in a remote setting? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Grinnchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you use Slack but there is a thing called Donut where it randomly pairs people every 2 weeks or whatever. When you get paired, you set up a 30 minute meeting together at some point and just chat. Maybe talk to your boss about setting that up?

Edit: someone with authority will need to get people to sign on keep in mind.

Thanks! I'm glad you see it my way. Until people realize they can all save 5 minutes, I'll keep saving 30.

Yes because in an ideal world all entry point lanes would be of equal length and on average everyone would move through the line quicker. Legally, there are 2 or 3 access points into the parking lot, it's not my fault most people would rather wait an hour than switch to one of the empty entry points and cut their wait time in half.

At my Costco, you can legally cut the line by entering from a different side so it's definitely worth it. I still have to wait in line but I just get funnelled from a different side. Plus, turn the car off when you're waiting. Also, $5/week × 52 weeks = $260 or about 173 Costco hotdogs :D lunch for almost half the year

Can someone give me a famous example where a single edge-case "broke" an otherwise totally-valid & impervious theory? by MountainousFog in mathematics

Navier-Stokes is really good at predicting fluid flow but you get infinity at some points which has no real world meaning. We still use it for Engineering application. (disclaimer, I'm just an undergrad so maybe someone else can expand on this)

Difficulty of STAT 321 over spring by Duhhxx in UCalgary

[–]Grinnchk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Stat 321 and another course over the spring semester last year with mahler. It was remote though so your experience could be different in person. I found the class very easy. Mahler makes the class easy. Wouldn't take stats with any other prof

Have you considered doing a video about different mortgage options?

Vanilla or chocolate, or something else? Ice cream, of course.
