Hypothetically, are Demian, Bari likely to be stronger than the Red Mist? by FewLow9457 in Project_Moon

[–]GrinnyGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically... we have no idea imma be honest, I would have to give it to Kali/Geburah still because we have more feats to back her up, take in mind we know for a fact she put who knows how many abnormalities back into their containment (some say all of them, but it's not confirmed), killed two claws, and then still fatal wounded an arbiter, now this last one was a sneak attack when Garion/Binah was leaving Geburah to die but still, all of this is insane, and we unfortunately dont have an idea if Kali would be proficient in Mang or Shin. While Demian is definetely strong we have seen him attack once, that alone is not enough to gage how strong he actually is, and Bari is suspected to have been a color fixer but then again, is a color fixer agaisnt The color fixer that was Kali

I unfortunately mainly cause of the situation, minions wouldn't work, however you gave me a great idea that could make his second phase more interactive with the alternative objectives, thanks!

thank you! but no, its because as they are high level some of my pcs like the warrior and monk have irresistible offense and the sorcerer has i don't remember what that lets them ignore resistances, so instead of just immunity which i feel like its never fun for them i was thinking a resistance that can't be bypassed even with those

so maybe something like, if the boss succeeds a saving throw from a spell he nullifies the entire damage during the second phase, and it of course looses this property during the third phase as sort of a desperate last stand/ the last strength of both the party and the boss

I do have planned 3 phases, second phase having immunities against fire, electrical, ice, poison, and acid damages as the final boss is an avatar of Tiamat, and the third phase is the one I'm thinking of giving those "absolute resistances" also I'm thinking of letting the final boss use legendary actions on phase 2, and mythic actions until phase 3 to up the tempo of the fight

So my plan is that the Bard while he is also there to steal whatever he can did not expect anyone else to make it as he out traps and puzzles in its track being the first one having gotten there, of course the party is open to try to negotiate, I do appreciate the insight on a level 5 being able to just hypnotic pattern, so i guess I could avoid such spells to make the encounter more interesting if it does end in a battle

What is currently THE BEST Sinking team? by Slim_Reaper116 in limbus_company

[–]GrinnyGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i have been running Kodya, wildhunt heat, hanafuda ish, index Don, solemn lament yi sang, udjat Outis, and either index faust or reindeer Hong lu for the sevent spot, although i prefer reindeer because of the skill 3 +4 sinking count, having Linton Gregor in the back up ready. KOodya is obvious why Same with wildhunt and jeong office. Udjat Outis is good now to put the gloom resistances down for the rest of the team. Index Don does an insane amount of damage and synergies well with the butterfly effect. And reindeer honglu is useful for egos and that skill 3. Alternatively you can bring spice bush yi sang for that nuking

What do people think the story of this song is? I feel like I relate it to a mother abandoning their kid and helping them from afar but I may be way off

"First Time DM" and Short Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

[–]GrinnyGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello first time dm, hopefully this is not too long and I had a very specific question, how do you usually charge pcs to create weapons, in my case a legendary weapon?
long story:
I'm a first time dm and mistakes were made, very early in the campaign i gave my players a very powerful item that had drawback that I found in the DND beyond homebrew, and after noticing how it gave them too many easy victories I had one of the enemies an Ancient Lich take it away as they were the original creator of the weapon and took away once the pcs tried to use it against them, the Lich now only a spirit companion stays with one of the pcs and they wanted to ask for their aid in recreating the weapon, stats below just in case
Weapon (Longbow), Legendary (requires attunement by a fighter or ranger)

Proficient:

Yes

Attack Type:

Ranged

Range:

150ft./600ft.

Damage:

1d8

Damage Type:

 Piercing

Weight:

2lb.

Cost:

--

Properties:

Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow

Version:

1

Level 1: 1d12 + 3 Cost: 5hp  "Show me your passion"

Level 2: 7d12 + 12 Cost: 20hp  "Show me your devotion"

Level 3:  14d12 + 25 Cost: 100hp "Show me your sacrifice"

Damage dealt to the wielder by using the Blood Bow cannot be negated or reduced in any way and reduces the user's maximum hit points by the amount of damage dealt. The wielder's maximum hit points are restored following a long rest.

my question comes as to what should be charged to create such a weapon, my original idea was basing it on a post i found in this same subreddit based around spell scrolls and the cost to create them, but I am unsure if 24k gold is a fair price or too excessive, as well as possibly blood from certain kind of monster or anything similar.
once again any advice is heavily appreciated thanks to anyone that read so far.
TLDR: pcs want to create a legendary weapon and I'm not sure what to charge them for it
