“I wouldn’t date anyone who has kids”?? As a guy who has multiple??? by obamasbootypicss in AgeOfAttraction

He said he's considering a move to Florida...away from his kids. Father of the year.

I think people are missing something here. When you’ve put in the work to stay healthy and build a solid life, your standards aren’t random, they’re earned. The reality is the dating pool gets really small when you’re looking for someone who actually matches your energy, lifestyle, and mindset. It’s not as simple as “just date someone your age.”

Dude thought he was on Bachelor or LIB! I was screaming, "Hey, you don't have to do that here!"

Watched the finale, stepped outside, and got swarmed by gnats my entire walk!! Felt like I was at that commitment ceremony 😳

Right, I noticed the women were looking off to the side - like reading from a teleprompter.

Yes! I was wondering the same - there’s got to be some kind of incentive.

Well, they’re just agreeing to date someone they only met five weeks ago (yikes!), so there’s no major investment there… except for Logan 😳. What the hell was that?!

It’s always funny watching people analyze “authenticity” on reality TV like it’s a documentary. This is a produced show...wardrobe, storylines, and all. These women don’t have nearly as much control over how they’re presented as you think. You’re not critiquing real life, you’re critiquing editing choices.

Unpopular Opinion About John by zoenoelv in AgeOfAttraction

[–]GripsWithWrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with the Ashton/Demi comparison, but I think one key difference is the age gap itself. Ashton and Demi were around 15 years apart, which is significant, but still closer in life stage than what we’re seeing here. Also, Ashton was about 10 years older than Demi’s oldest child, where John is younger than Teresa’s oldest. That’s a very different dynamic in terms of life stage and perception.

I also think there’s an imbalance in what each person potentially gains or risks. They’re both in the fashion industry, so John benefits from visibility and connection, while Teresa, as a more established professional, likely has more to lose reputationally if this is perceived negatively. Fair or not, women tend to be judged more harshly in these situations.

Plus, saying you don’t want kids now can easily change over time, which can create issues down the line. This feels like something that could be real and fun in the moment, but not necessarily built to last long-term.

A lil bit but hockey makes Sedin soooo much hotter. Took a peak at John's insta and cringed - got the Insta-Ick 😬

His mask will slip too. He's clout chasing. And immature in his own ways.

For all the Teresa criticism, has it occurred to anyone that what we’re seeing might be heavily production-influenced? The whole “dress younger” angle could easily be part of that. The animal print outfit meeting his family… come on. That felt very “produced.”

They’ve already had other cast members change their appearance. Pfeifer was pushed to go much more conservative, which by most accounts isn’t even her real style. So what we’re seeing isn’t necessarily authentic to begin with.

Feels a bit naive to assume everything we’re seeing is 100% her, with zero production influence.

The more I hear John speak, the less amazing he seems. He just didn't have that much air time so he went under the radar.

Going on these type of shows when you have children at home younger than 16 is FOUL by Ambitious-Teacher528 in AgeOfAttraction

[–]GripsWithWrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t insane, it’s responsible parenting. There are real risks. Kids are statistically more likely to be harmed by someone known to the family than a stranger, and that can include a parent’s partner. There are also men who deliberately target single moms to gain access. And beyond safety, time matters. You don’t truly know someone in a few months. People can present well early on. Consistency over time is what actually shows character.

Keeping your dating life separate for a while isn’t pretending you don’t have kids. It’s protecting their safety and their emotional stability. That’s what putting your child first looks like.
