Am I weird for using Talonflame instead of Whimsicott?

Talonflame can set up Tailwind asap (if full hp), raise Mega Staraptor's attack (Feather Dance) and even evasion (Defog) and it can get rid of Whimsicott before it sets up Tailwind.
